Beyerdynamic Dt 990 Pro 250 Ohm Wired Over Ear Headphones

beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO 250 Ohm: Open, Detailed Studio Sound

An open-back, circumaural design gives the DT 990 PRO a wide, airy soundstage with precise localisation, making it a trusted reference for mixing, mastering, critical listening and gaming.

Built for Mixing, Mastering and Critical Listening

Closed headphones can sound enclosed, and speakers are not always practical at night or in an untreated room. Open headphones give a more natural sense of space, so small changes in panning, EQ or dynamics are easier to hear.

What It Is

The DT 990 PRO is an open-back, circumaural studio headphone with a 250 Ohm impedance and a 5-35,000 Hz frequency response. It has a single-sided cable and a coiled cable with a 3.5 mm plug and a 6.35 mm adapter, and is made in Germany.

Key Features

• Open-back design: Creates a spacious sound with a sense of depth and the room ambience captured in recordings.
• Controlled bass, enhanced treble: Precise, powerful low frequencies with a clear and present top end.
• Sensitive transducers: Reveal fine adjustments in panning, EQ and dynamics.
• Steel headband and soft ear cups: A secure, comfortable fit for long sessions.
• One-sided cable: Easy to remove and adjust without tangles.
• Replaceable velour pads: Keep the headphones comfortable over years of use.

Why the beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO Stands Out

The DT 990 PRO has been a reference for producers and engineers for years because it is dependable and serviceable. It is light at 250 g without the cable, and the open back avoids the pressure feeling of closed designs. Gamers like it for the same reason: footsteps and effects are easier to place.
