Description
Edifier S2000MKIII: Tri-Amped Hi-Res Powered Speakers
130 W of tri-amped Class D power, 5.5-inch aluminium woofers and planar diaphragm tweeters, with Bluetooth aptX HD, optical, coaxial and RCA inputs.
Built for Audiophiles and Desktop Listeners Who Want No Compromises
Passive speakers need a separate amplifier, and cheap powered speakers cut corners. The S2000MKIII has the amplifiers built in and tri-amps each driver for cleaner sound.
What It Is
The Edifier S2000MKIII is a pair of powered bookshelf speakers with 130 W of tri-amped Class D power. It has 5.5-inch aluminium woofers, planar diaphragm tweeters, Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD and a remote. The cabinets are made of MDF and it is Hi-Res certified.
Key Features
- 130 W tri-amped Class D: Separate amplification for each driver.
- 5.5-inch aluminium woofers: Strong, controlled bass.
- Planar diaphragm tweeters: Detailed, open highs.
- Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD: Wireless streaming with higher quality.
- Dual RCA, line-in, optical and coaxial: Connect almost any source.
- Remote control: Change volume and inputs from your seat.
Why the Edifier S2000MKIII Stands Out
With so many inputs, the S2000MKIII connects to a TV, turntable, console, laptop or streamer without extra adaptors. MDF cabinets limit resonance and Hi-Res certification shows it is meant for high-resolution sources.
Setting Up Your Speakers
Place the speakers at ear height, roughly an equal distance apart and from your listening position, and angle them slightly towards you. Leave space behind them for bass control. Use optical or coaxial for the best digital connection from a TV or streamer. Use the RCA inputs for a turntable with a phono preamp or a CD player, and the line-in for a laptop or phone. Keep cables tidy and away from power leads to avoid hum, and use the remote to switch between sources and set a comfortable volume. A little time spent on placement usually improves the sound more than any setting.
