Description
AKG Lyra: Ultra HD Multimode USB-C Microphone
A four-capsule USB-C condenser microphone with four capture modes and 24-bit/192 kHz resolution for calls, streaming and recording.
Built for Calls, Streaming and Home Recording
Most laptop microphones sound thin and pick up room noise. A good USB microphone gives clear sound for meetings, content and music without extra equipment.
What It Is
The AKG Lyra is an Ultra HD multimode USB microphone with a four-capsule array and 24-bit/192 kHz audio. It has four capture modes: Front, Front and Back, Tight Stereo and Wide Stereo, and works with Mac, PC, iOS and Android.
Key Features
- Four-capsule array: Several capture modes in one microphone.
- Four capture modes: Front, Front and Back, Tight Stereo and Wide Stereo.
- 24-bit/192 kHz: High-resolution USB audio.
- Zero-latency headphones: Monitor yourself with volume, gain and mute controls.
- Shock mount and diffuser: A self-adjusting shock mount and built-in diffuser.
- Wide compatibility: Works with Mac, PC, iOS and Android.
Why the AKG Lyra Stands Out
The Lyra has a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz and a maximum SPL of 129 dB at 0.5% distortion. It connects by USB 2.0 and measures 225 x 150 x 253 mm, weighing 1.28 kg. A USB-C to USB-A cable is supplied with it.
Setting Up Your Lyra
Connect the microphone and choose it as the input in your meeting or recording software. Select the capture mode to match the situation, use Front for a single voice and the stereo modes for music or groups, and set the gain so the loudest peaks stay out of the red. Position it about 15 to 30 centimetres from the speaker.
