Description
Aruba Instant On AP22 Wi-Fi 6 Access Point
Aruba Instant On AP22 is an indoor Wi-Fi 6 access point for supported Instant On network deployments. Its dual-band 2×2 radio design adds wireless coverage for suitable business or home installations with an appropriate upstream network connection.
Why Choose Aruba Instant On AP22?
The AP22 is an access point, so plan internet service, network routing and power separately. Wi-Fi 6 features such as OFDMA and MU-MIMO help supported client devices share the radio. The quoted aggregate wireless rate is a theoretical radio capability, not guaranteed internet throughput or a promise of the same speed through every wall.
Key Features
- Wi-Fi 6 radios: supports the 802.11ax standard.
- Dual-band operation: provides 2.4GHz and 5GHz connectivity.
- Instant On management: uses the supported app or cloud portal.
- Gigabit uplink: connects the access point to an appropriate wired network.
Best Suited For
Indoor wireless coverage for offices, shops, creative workspaces or suitable home networks. Match placement and the number of access points to the building layout and client needs. Wireless capacity, internet-service speed and the wired uplink are different limits; the slowest part of the path can affect the experience.
Setup and Connection Guide
Provide the documented power arrangement and connect the access point to a suitable upstream network. Follow the Instant On onboarding instructions, identify the unit and configure the intended wireless network. Choose an accessible placement with sensible radio coverage, then test from normal client positions. Keep guest access and the business network configured appropriately for the installation. Check the exact regional part number before assuming a mains adapter or PoE injector is supplied.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is AP22 a 6GHz Wi-Fi 6E access point?
No. Its Wi-Fi 6 radios operate on 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Wi-Fi 6 does not itself imply a 6GHz radio. Choose a specifically documented Wi-Fi 6E or later 6GHz model when that band is required.
Does the advertised radio rate guarantee internet speed?
No. It is a theoretical wireless capability. Actual throughput depends on client hardware, radio conditions, traffic, the uplink and the internet service.
Can an access point work without network configuration?
It requires a supported power and network arrangement plus the appropriate setup. Plan upstream routing and internet access for the chosen deployment mode rather than treating an access point as an ISP modem.
