Behringer POWERPLAY HA8000 V2 8-Channel Headphone Amplifier

Behringer POWERPLAY HA8000 V2 8-Channel Headphone Amplifier

Behringer POWERPLAY HA8000 V2 is a 8-channel headphone amplifier for distributing suitable line-level monitoring feeds in recording and production systems.

Why Choose Behringer POWERPLAY HA8000 V2?

HA8000 V2 provides eight headphone amplifier channels with a choice of two main stereo sources and a direct input arrangement. Its front and rear headphone sockets should be counted separately from independently adjustable mixes. The upstream mixer or interface determines which performers can receive genuinely different programme balances. Choose headphones and source routing around the documented load and level requirements; this unit supplies monitoring rather than microphone recording inputs.

Key Features

• 8 amplifier channels: independently adjustable listening levels.
• Line-level inputs: compatible upstream monitor feeds.
• Two sockets per channel: shared-channel headphone connections.
• Rack format: organised studio or stage monitoring.

Best Suited For

Distributing headphone monitoring in recording, rehearsal and production setups. Count independently adjustable listening feeds separately from the number of headphone sockets. Several sockets can share one amplifier channel, while a genuinely different performer mix also needs a suitable source or auxiliary feed from the upstream mixer or interface.

Setup and Connection Guide

Connect the appropriate line-level source to the documented main input and start with every headphone level low. Choose the main or direct/auxiliary route provided by the exact model and connect headphones with compatible plugs and load requirements. Check each channel individually, then raise the source and listening levels gradually. When two sockets share an amplifier channel, follow the combined-load guidance rather than assuming every headphone combination is suitable. Label the performer feeds and check that a local input is reaching the intended channel before beginning the session.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do 16 headphone sockets mean 16 different monitor mixes?

No. Two sockets share each amplifier channel. Distinct listening balances depend on the available channel routing and separate upstream source feeds, not merely the number of plugs.

Does adding headphone sockets create separate recording channels?

No. A headphone amplifier distributes monitoring audio. Recording inputs and independent cue mixes come from the mixer, interface or source routing feeding it. The headphone unit does not itself add computer recording tracks.

Can every connected listener receive a different mix automatically?

Independent level controls do not automatically create different musical balances. Separate mixes require appropriate upstream feeds and the supported channel input arrangement. Check the exact routing and the number of genuinely independent sources.
