Equipment Cases

Professional audio, DJ and video equipment is expensive and often travels to gigs, shoots and events. Equipment cases protect it from knocks, drops, dust and moisture. This section includes hard flight cases, rugged protective cases, padded carry cases and gig bags for mixers, DJ controllers, microphones, cameras, drones, laptops and accessories.

Types of equipment cases

• Flight cases: plywood or aluminium cases with foam interiors and heavy-duty hardware for touring and transport.
• Hard protective cases: waterproof and crushproof plastic cases with customisable foam, ideal for cameras, microphones and drones.
• Padded bags and gig bags: lightweight protection for controllers, keyboards and accessories.
• Rack cases: house rack-mount equipment such as amplifiers, wireless receivers and processors.
• Mixer and DJ cases: custom-fit cases for specific mixers and controllers.

Choosing the right case

• Fit: check the internal dimensions against your equipment.
• Protection level: flight and hard cases for heavy travel; padded bags for local use.
• Weight: aluminium and plastic cases are lighter than plywood flight cases.
• Waterproofing: IP-rated cases protect against rain and dust.
• Wheels and handles: essential for heavy cases.
• Customisation: pick-and-pluck foam lets you create custom compartments.

Protecting your gear on the road

Remove batteries before long storage, use silica gel packs to reduce humidity, and secure cables and accessories so they do not move inside the case. Label cases clearly with your contact details.

Cases for creators

Content creators and filmmakers benefit from hard cases for cameras, lenses, wireless microphones and drones, especially when travelling by air or road.

Cases for DJs and bands

DJ controllers, mixers and keyboards should travel in padded bags or flight cases to avoid damage to jog wheels, faders and keys.
