XGIMI Vibe One Portable Projector

XGIMI Vibe One – Battery-Powered 1080p Portable Projector with JBL Sound

The Vibe One is XGIMI’s most portable projector: a lantern-style Full HD projector you can pick up by its handle, carry to another room or the terrace, and start watching without touching a single setting. It pairs a native 1920 x 1080 LCD panel and LED light source with Google TV built in, so streaming apps, casting and playback all live inside the projector itself. A built-in 38.48Wh battery, dual 3W JBL speakers and automatic focus and keystone make it a genuinely self-contained unit – no screen, soundbar or laptop needed for a casual movie night.

Key features

• Native Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080) with an LED light source
• 250 ISO lumens brightness and a 1500:1 contrast ratio
• Google TV built in, with licensed Netflix and Google Cast
• Built-in battery: up to 1.2 hours of video or up to 4 hours of music playback
• Dual 3W JBL speakers with Dolby Audio, Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus support
• Uninterrupted auto focus and auto keystone correction
• 45 to 150 inch image size from a 1.3:1 throw ratio
• 160-degree adjustable stand that doubles as a carry handle

Picture and setup

Set the Vibe One down, and it lines the picture up by itself. Uninterrupted auto focus keeps the image sharp while uninterrupted auto keystone squares it off, even when the projector sits at an angle. The 160-degree tilting stand lets you aim at a wall or the ceiling – useful for bedroom viewing – and the projector supports front, rear and ceiling projection if you mount it permanently. XGIMI recommends a 60 to 120 inch picture for the best balance of size and brightness. At 250 ISO lumens this is a projector for dim rooms and evenings rather than bright daylight, which suits its portable, watch-anywhere brief.

Streaming, sound and connections

Google TV gives you the major streaming apps on one home screen, with licensed Netflix included, and Google Cast plus DLNA cover casting from a phone or laptop. The dual JBL speakers are tuned for clear dialogue at room-filling volume for a small space, and Dolby decoding means streamed movies play back with their intended soundtrack. Bluetooth 5.1 connects an external speaker when you want more low end, and in Ambient Light Mode the Vibe One works as a Bluetooth speaker and soft light with your phone connected, projector lamp tricks included. Around the back you get HDMI for a console or laptop, USB for media playback and a DC input. Dual-band WiFi 5 keeps streams stable on either band.

Where it fits best

Bedrooms, hostels, rented flats and homes where a fixed TV or ceiling-mounted projector is not an option. The 1.4 kg body and carry handle suit students, frequent movers and anyone who wants a big picture for a match or a series episode, then a tidy shelf afterwards. The battery covers an episode or a music session away from a socket; for a full-length film, keep the adapter handy. Fan noise stays at or below 28 dB at a metre, so it will not fight the dialogue in quiet scenes.
