Edifier P230 Usb-c Earphone White

Edifier P230 USB-C Earphone White – Hi-Res Wired Sound for Phones Without a Headphone Jack

Most current phones have dropped the 3.5 mm socket, which makes a good USB-C earphone the simplest way to get wired sound back – no dongle, no battery, no Bluetooth pairing or compression. The Edifier P230 plugs straight into the USB-C port and does its own digital-to-analogue conversion, supporting 24-bit/96 kHz Hi-Res audio. A large 12.4 mm dynamic driver gives it the kind of full, confident low end that small earbuds usually struggle to produce, while the in-line remote and microphone keep calls and playback control at your fingertips.

Key features

• 12.4 mm dynamic driver for rich bass, clear mids and crisp highs
• Built-in DAC supporting 24-bit/96 kHz Hi-Res audio
• Direct USB-C connection – no adapter or charging needed
• Three sizes of ear tips (S, M, L) for a secure, isolating fit
• IP54 rating protects against dust and water splashes
• Oxygen-free copper wiring with nylon reinforcement resists tangles
• High-sensitivity omnidirectional microphone for clear calls
• In-line controls plus app EQ with four presets and custom settings on Android

Why the built-in DAC matters

With a passive USB-C adapter, your sound quality depends on whatever inexpensive converter sits in the dongle or the phone. The P230 carries its own DAC in the plug, so the digital signal travels from the phone untouched and is converted by hardware Edifier tuned for these drivers. That is what allows genuine 24-bit/96 kHz playback from hi-res streaming tiers and local files, and it keeps audio and video tightly synchronised – useful for films and games, where Bluetooth delay is easy to notice and hard to ignore.

Fit, build and everyday use

Sound quality in an earphone starts with the seal. The three tip sizes let you find the fit that stays put and blocks enough outside noise for bass to register properly, so try all three rather than assuming the fitted pair is right. The IP54 rating shrugs off sweat, dust and light rain on commutes and workouts, and the nylon-reinforced oxygen-free copper cable is built to survive being wound around a phone and stuffed into a pocket without tangling into a knot every time.

Tuning it to your taste

Android users can open the companion app to switch between four preset EQ modes or build a custom curve, which makes one earphone serve for bass-heavy playlists, spoken-word podcasts and everything between. The in-line remote handles the everyday work – volume, play and pause, and answering calls through the built-in microphone, which picks up voice clearly for calls and online classes without holding the phone up.

For anyone whose phone lost its headphone jack but who still prefers the reliability of a wire, the P230 is a neat, good-sounding answer that works with USB-C phones, tablets and laptops alike.
