Genelec GLM SAM Calibration Kit

Genelec GLM SAM Calibration Kit

The Genelec GLM SAM Calibration Kit is the measurement kit that unlocks calibration on Genelec SAM monitors and subwoofers. The Genelec GLM SAM Calibration Kit contains the measurement microphone and network adapter used with Genelec’s free GLM software to measure a room and correct each monitor for it.

Why Choose Genelec GLM SAM Calibration Kit?

Even excellent monitors sound wrong in an untreated room, because reflections, standing waves and level differences are room problems, not speaker problems. The Genelec GLM SAM Calibration Kit addresses the room directly: it measures the actual listening position, computes corrections, and stores them in the monitors, so the system sounds right in that room, not just on paper.

Key Features

• Calibrates SAM systems: measures the room and corrects level, delay and response per monitor
• Measurement microphone: a calibrated microphone for accurate room measurement
• GLM network adapter: connects the computer to the SAM monitor network
• AutoCal: automatic calibration that stores settings in the monitors
• Stereo to immersive: calibrates systems from stereo to complex immersive layouts

Best Suited For

The Genelec GLM SAM Calibration Kit suits any studio, post-production room or immersive installation running Genelec SAM monitors or subwoofers, from a stereo pair to a full immersive array.

Setup and Connection Guide

Install GLM software on a computer, connect the network adapter between the computer and the SAM monitor network, place the measurement microphone at the listening position, and follow GLM’s AutoCal measurement sequence. Measure from the main listening position first, then add further positions if the system will be used across a wider area, and save the calibration set when finished.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Genelec GLM SAM Calibration Kit work with non-SAM Genelec monitors?

No. It is made for SAM monitors and subwoofers, which carry the GLM network and DSP needed for calibration. Non-SAM monitors are adjusted with their rear-panel controls instead.

Is GLM software included?

GLM software is a free download from Genelec. This kit supplies the measurement microphone and network adapter hardware needed to use it.

Is calibration stored in the monitors?

Yes. Once AutoCal has run, the corrections are stored in the monitors themselves, so the calibrated system works without the computer connected.

Ordering from Pro Audio Video in India gives you a genuine product backed by the store’s standard delivery and support channels, with the sheet MRP and sale price shown on this listing. Check the specifications table above against your room, amplifier-free signal chain and mounting plan before ordering, because active monitors and their accessories are size- and compatibility-specific purchases.

Before you order, check the three things that most often cause a return on this kind of product: the exact model and variant, the space it will live in, and the connection or fixing it needs. Measure the room or mounting position, confirm the input, output or bracket type against the specifications table above, and make sure any stand, bracket, cable or power supply you plan to reuse is rated for this product. If anything does not match, ask Pro Audio Video before ordering rather than assuming an adapter or a different mount will do, because active speakers, mounts and lighting modifiers are all size- and fitting-specific.
