Description
Ahuja DA-80: 8-Channel Audio Line Splitter
A compact 8-channel line signal splitter that feeds one programme source to several amplifiers without loading the signal. Built for Large Installations and PA Systems
Feeding one source to many amplifiers by simple cable splitting loads the signal and adds distortion. A proper distribution amplifier avoids this problem. What It Is
The Ahuja DA-80 is a sleek, compact 8-channel line signal splitter for large installations and PA applications. It accepts a line-level stereo or mono input and provides four line-level stereo outputs or eight line-level mono outputs. Key Features – 8-channel distribution: Four stereo or eight mono line outputs from one source. – Avoids signal loading: Protects against loading and related distortion when feeding several amplifiers. – Volume per channel: Individual volume controls for the input and each of the eight outputs. – Clip LED: Helps you set the optimum, distortion-free input level. – AC and DC operation: Runs from AC mains and from a 24 V DC car battery. – Rack or tabletop: 19 inch rack mountable in 1U space or usable as a tabletop unit. Why the Ahuja DA-80 Stands Out
The DA-80 is designed for the one-source, many-amplifiers problem in venues such as campuses, malls and halls. Per-output level controls let you balance each amplifier feed precisely. Using a Splitter Correctly
Connect the source to the input, set the input level so the clip LED does not light, and then set each output to match its amplifier. Use short, good-quality shielded cables, and keep them away from mains wiring to avoid hum. If you are feeding several amplifiers, label each output so future maintenance is easy. Need Help Choosing?
