Alphatheta Xdj-az-n Professional Dj Controller

AlphaTheta XDJ-AZ-N Professional DJ Controller – Limited Gold Edition

The XDJ-AZ-N is the limited gold edition of AlphaTheta’s flagship all-in-one DJ system, and the closest thing to a full club booth in a single unit. Its layout mirrors the CDJ-3000 and DJM-A9 setup found in professional booths worldwide, so the moves you practise at home translate directly to the club. Under the striking gold finish sits a standalone 4-deck performance system with a 10.1-inch touchscreen, full-size jog wheels and a 32-bit D/A converter – no laptop required unless you want one.

A club booth, minus the booth

Most all-in-one systems ask you to learn their own way of working. The XDJ-AZ deliberately does the opposite: the jog wheels, tempo sliders, hot cue layout and mixer section follow the CDJ-3000 and DJM-A9 pattern that working DJs already know. Skills transfer both ways – prepare on the AZ and the club setup feels familiar, and club habits come straight home with you.

Four decks, one screen, no laptop

The AZ plays four decks standalone from USB storage, with the 10.1-inch touchscreen handling waveforms, browsing and track information for all of them. Deck colour coding and the ability to view up to 13 tracks in the browse list keep fast, layered mixing manageable. Built-in Wi-Fi adds cloud workflows: link your rekordbox library through CloudDirectPlay and your playlists, hot cues and history follow the music rather than the drive.

Sound and effects taken seriously

A high-end 32-bit D/A converter keeps output clean at club volumes, and the mixer section carries the effects DJs actually use: 14 Beat FX with a colour display for parameters, plus the Colour FX set from the DJM-A9 for per-channel shaping. Three-band EQ, channel faders and a Magvel crossfader complete a mixer that behaves like the real thing – because it is built from the real thing’s blueprint.

Monitoring without the cable

SonicLink is AlphaTheta’s low-latency wireless link for compatible headphones such as the HDJ-F10. It cuts the cord between you and the unit without the delay that makes ordinary Bluetooth unusable for cueing, so you can move around the booth while staying locked to the beat.

For headline sets, serious home studios and venues that want club-standard hardware without separates, the XDJ-AZ-N is the all-in-one to measure the rest against – and in gold, it looks the part too.
