boAt Airdopes 121V2 Cherry Blossom True Wireless Earbuds

The boAt Airdopes 121V2 is a compact pair of true wireless earbuds, this listing in the Cherry Blossom finish, built around 8 mm drivers and Bluetooth 5.0 in one of the smallest cases boAt has made in the Airdopes line. It is an earlier, simpler model by design: no app, no noise cancellation, just pairing that happens by itself, a multifunction button on each earbud, and a case with an LED battery indicator so the remaining charge is visible at a glance. The published playback figures are up to 3.5 hours from the earbuds and up to 14 hours in total with the case.

Key features

• 8 mm drivers in a compact, lightweight earbud
• Up to 14 hours total playback with the charging case
• Up to 3.5 hours of playback per earbud charge
• Bluetooth 5.0 with Insta Wake N Pair
• 380 mAh charging case with LED battery indicator
• 40 mAh battery in each earbud
• Multifunction button controls and voice assistant access
• Cherry Blossom finish

Playback, in real terms

The two battery numbers describe different things, and planning around them is easier once they are separated. A full earbud charge lasts up to 3.5 hours of listening under the manufacturer’s test conditions; the 380 mAh case then recharges the earbuds on the move, bringing the combined total to up to 14 hours before the case itself needs charging. Volume, calls and connection conditions all move real results below the published ceiling, as with every earbud of this class. For a commute-and-desk day the pattern works well: the earbuds cover the listening, and the case quietly restores them in a pocket between sessions.

Pairing and controls

Insta Wake N Pair is boAt’s name for the behaviour that matters every day — take the earbuds out of the case and they connect to the last paired phone or laptop without a trip through settings. Controls are physical multifunction buttons rather than touch panels, which many users prefer: a click is a click, including with gloves or wet hands, covering playback, calls and voice assistant access. Bluetooth 5.0 holds the connection over a rated 10 metre range, enough for a phone left on a desk or in a bag across a room.

What this model is, and is not

The 121V2 predates the feature stack of current Airdopes models, and the listing keeps that honest: boAt’s material for this version does not claim a water resistance rating, and there is no active noise cancellation or low-latency gaming mode. What it offers instead is the small-case, light-earbud format at its simplest, in the Cherry Blossom colourway — the same published specification as the other colours of the 121V2, with the finish being the choice being made.

If a compact case, simple button controls and an easy pairing routine matter more than the latest feature list, the Airdopes 121V2 in Cherry Blossom is the uncomplicated end of the boAt range, working exactly as its specification says.
