JBL Tune 310C USB-C Earphones – Black

JBL Tune 310C USB-C Earphones – Black

The JBL Tune 310C in black is a wired in-ear earphone set built for devices that have dropped the headphone jack. It connects by USB-C, draws its power from the device, and needs no charging, pairing or app: plug it in and it works. Inside each earpiece is a 9mm dynamic driver tuned to JBL Pure Bass sound, and the model carries Hi-Res Audio certification with a published frequency response extending to 40kHz. A three-button in-line remote with microphone and switchable EQ presets completes a design aimed at everyday listening on phones, tablets and laptops.

Sound character

Pure Bass tuning gives the low end extra weight, which suits pop, hip-hop, electronic music and films, while the midrange stays clear enough for podcasts, lectures and calls. The published figures support easy driving from portable devices: 16 ohm impedance and 98dB SPL sensitivity at 1kHz mean a phone or laptop reaches comfortable volume without an amplifier. The response extending to 40kHz is the basis of the Hi-Res Audio certification; in daily use it translates to clean, detailed treble rather than any need for special source files, and because the signal arrives digitally over USB-C, sound quality does not depend on the analogue jack circuitry the device no longer has.

Remote, microphone and EQ

The three-button remote handles volume, playback and call answering from the cable, and the built-in microphone, rated at -42dBV/Pa sensitivity, covers phone calls, online classes and meetings. The same remote cycles the three EQ presets: Default keeps the standard tuning, Bass adds low-end emphasis for music, and Vocal pushes speech forward for podcasts, audiobooks and lectures. Switching character from the cable, without opening an app, is what makes these earphones practical across a whole day of mixed listening.

Fit and everyday use

At 14.3 grams the set is light enough to wear through a commute or a long study session without ear fatigue. Three sizes of ear tips are supplied; the size that seals properly matters, because a good seal is what delivers the intended bass and blocks a useful amount of outside noise passively. The flat cable resists the knots round cables tie themselves into in a pocket or bag, and with no battery anywhere in the design there is nothing to run flat at the wrong moment.

Compatibility

The Tune 310C needs a USB-C port that supports USB-C audio: most current Android phones, USB-C iPhones and iPads, and many laptops and tablets qualify. It does not fit a Lightning port or a 3.5mm socket directly, so check older devices before relying on it as your only earphones.

For anyone whose phone lost its headphone jack, the Tune 310C Black is the simple answer done properly: a 9mm Pure Bass driver, Hi-Res certification, remote-switched EQ and wired reliability that never needs a charge.
