JBL Tour One M2 – Noise Cancelling Wireless Headphones (Black)

JBL Tour One M2 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones (Black)

The JBL Tour One M2 in black is JBL’s flagship over-ear wireless headphone, built around True Adaptive Noise Cancelling that measures the environment and adjusts in real time. A 40 mm dynamic driver delivers JBL Pro Sound, Bluetooth 5.3 with multipoint keeps a phone and laptop connected together, and battery life reaches up to 50 hours with ANC off and 30 hours with it on. It folds for travel, ships with a carrying case and flight adaptor, and uses the JBL Headphones app for equalisation, Personi-Fi sound personalisation and control settings.

Noise cancelling that adapts

True Adaptive ANC does not apply one fixed level of cancellation. It monitors surrounding noise and adjusts automatically, so a quiet office and a loud aircraft cabin get different treatment, and wind handling reduces the buffeting that fixed systems amplify. When you do need awareness, Ambient Aware lets outside sound back in, TalkThru drops the music and boosts voices for a quick conversation, and Personal Sound Amplification can raise the volume of people speaking near you, all without removing the headphones. VoiceAware also lets you hear your own voice on calls, adjustable so calls do not feel sealed off.

Sound and personalisation

The 40 mm driver is specified from 10 Hz to 40 kHz in passive wired mode and 10 Hz to 22 kHz in active mode, with 117 dB sensitivity and 32 ohm impedance. JBL Spatial Sound widens the presentation for films and games, while the app’s equaliser and Personi-Fi 2.0 shape the tuning to your hearing profile, compensating for the frequencies you perceive less strongly. A detachable 3.5 mm cable is included for wired listening, in-flight entertainment and listening with a flat battery.

Calls, controls and everyday use

Seven microphones handle noise cancelling and voice pickup, with the call system working to isolate your voice from background noise in stations and streets. On-ear controls and voice assistant support keep basic tasks off the phone, and multipoint means a call on the phone interrupts laptop audio automatically and returns afterwards. Ear controls, app settings and wear comfort suit long listening days as much as flights.

Battery and travel

Thirty hours with ANC on covers a long-haul return trip or a working week of commutes; fifty hours with ANC off extends that further. Charging from empty takes about two hours over USB-C, and a speed charge tops the battery up quickly before leaving. The headphones fold into the supplied carrying case, weigh 278 g, and include a flight adaptor, a detail frequent flyers actually use. SilentNow in the app can even run the noise cancelling without music when all you want is quiet.

Pick the Tour One M2 if you want one headphone for flights, office focus and daily listening, with adaptive cancellation that needs no manual adjustment and battery life that rarely needs planning around. In black, it is the understated version of JBL’s most complete headphone.
