The McIntosh RS250 is a complete stereo wireless loudspeaker system in a single elegant chassis, delivering 650 watts across eight drivers for room-filling sound without a separate amplifier or streamer. Two 20 mm titanium dome tweeters, four 50 mm titanium inverted-dome midranges and two 4 x 6 inch long-throw woofers work together for a frequency response of 40Hz to 20kHz, with 400 watts driving the tweeters and midranges and 250 watts for the woofers. Streaming is built in rather than bolted on: Apple AirPlay 2, Google Chromecast, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect and Roon Ready support let you play directly from the apps you already use, while Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD covers everything else. The McIntosh RS250 also adds an HDMI ARC input for television sound, a moving-magnet phono input for a turntable, and the classic McIntosh black glass design with illuminated blue meters.
Why Choose McIntosh RS250?
One-box wireless speakers usually ask you to accept a compromise in power, driver quality or connectivity, and the McIntosh RS250 refuses all three. Its 650 watts and eight-driver array produce genuine stereo scale in medium and large rooms, while its streaming platform removes the need for a dedicated control app: playback is controlled from Spotify, TIDAL, Apple Music or Roon itself. The HDMI ARC input turns the RS250 into a serious television sound upgrade, and the phono input means a turntable connects directly with no separate stage. A subwoofer output, optical and auxiliary inputs and a front headphone jack cover the remaining sources, and files up to 24-bit and 192kHz are supported for high-resolution listening. For a listener who wants McIntosh sound without a rack of components, the McIntosh RS250 is the most complete single answer in the range.

Best Suited For
The McIntosh RS250 suits listeners who want a premium single-box stereo system for a living room, bedroom or study, without separate amplifiers and streamers. It fits music streaming, television sound, vinyl listening and high-resolution playback in one unit. It is a wide unit at about 63 cm, so it needs a substantial shelf or console; buyers building a multi-room system around separate speakers and amplifiers should look at McIntosh separates instead.
Setup and Connection Guide
Place the McIntosh RS250 centrally on a strong shelf or console, connect it to power, and join your home network over dual-band Wi-Fi or the Ethernet port. Open your preferred streaming app and choose the RS250 as the playback device for AirPlay 2, Chromecast, Spotify Connect or TIDAL Connect, or pair over Bluetooth for other sources. Connect a television to the HDMI ARC input for TV sound, a turntable to the moving-magnet phono input, and a powered subwoofer to the subwoofer output if you want deeper bass. Use the included remote for power, volume and input selection, and adjust the bass control to suit your room and placement.
