The Antari Z-1500II is a professional fog machine built for stages, clubs, theatres and event productions that need dense, repeatable fog on cue. A 1500 W heater drives an output of 20,000 cubic feet per minute, enough to fill a mid-size venue quickly and give lighting beams real presence in the air. A six-litre tank keeps the machine running through long show segments without constant refilling, and control options cover everything from a simple wired remote to full DMX integration with the lighting desk.

This is the second-generation Z-1500II design, a long-running Antari workhorse. It is a fog machine, not a hazer: output comes in controllable bursts rather than a continuous fine mist, which makes it the right tool for dramatic cues, reveals and dancefloor moments where the effect has to arrive on the beat and clear on schedule.

Output and fluid capacity

At full output the Z-1500II consumes fluid at about 110 ml per minute, so the six-litre tank supports long productions before a refill is needed. Warm-up from cold takes around ten minutes, after which the machine reheats between bursts to hold its working temperature. A fluid level sensor stops the machine if the tank runs dry, protecting the pump and heater block from running empty during a show.

Control options

The supplied Z-20 remote connects on a cable and gives direct control of fogging duration, interval and volume, with an LCD showing the current settings; values are stored in memory, so the machine can be powered down without losing the programme. For integrated shows, DMX512 control uses a single channel over 3-pin or 5-pin XLR, letting the lighting operator fire fog cues alongside the rest of the rig. A wireless remote, the Z-30 Pro, is available as an optional accessory.

Running the machine well

Use only the approved Antari fluids: FLG for a heavier, longer-lasting fog and FLR for a lighter effect that dissipates faster. Place the machine on a level surface with the nozzle unobstructed, allow the full warm-up before the show, and keep access clear for refilling. Output and hang time always depend on the fluid chosen, the room size and ventilation, so a short test in the actual venue is worth more than any specification sheet.

Where it earns its place

Concert stages, DJ booths, theatre productions, haunted attractions, film shoots and training simulations all use the same machine, because the combination of output, tank size and control depth is hard to match at this size. It is equally at home as the single fog source for a mid-size venue or as one of several units distributed around a larger stage and fired from the same DMX show file.
