NANOLEAF SHAPES HEXAGON STARTER KIT 9-PACK White

The NANOLEAF SHAPES HEXAGON STARTER KIT builds a honeycomb wall of light from nine hexagonal panels, a controller and a power supply, all included in the box. Hexagons are the most recognisable Nanoleaf shape: they tile edge to edge into clusters, strips and honeycomb patterns, and each panel is touch-sensitive, so a tap on the wall itself can change a scene or adjust brightness without opening the app. At 100 lumens per panel, nine panels give a bright, even wash of colour, and the RGBW panels cover over 16 million colours with white adjustable from 1200K to 6500K, from warm evening light to crisp daylight white. The built-in music visualiser, scenes, schedules and voice control complete a system that works as both decoration and everyday room lighting.

Why Choose NANOLEAF SHAPES HEXAGON STARTER KIT 9-PACK White?

The NANOLEAF SHAPES HEXAGON STARTER KIT is a strong first Nanoleaf purchase because nine hexagons make a finished honeycomb rather than a fragment, and the included 42 watt supply supports up to 21 hexagons, so two expansion packs can join later without a second power supply. Hexagons also mix with Triangle and Mini Triangle Shapes panels in the same layout, which keeps future expansion flexible: a hexagon core can gain triangular accents later, or sit alongside a mini-triangle border. Touch control matters in shared rooms, where guests can use the wall without installing an app, and the panels mount with adhesive plates and linkers, so installation needs no wiring or drilling into the wall beyond the plates themselves.

Key Features of NANOLEAF SHAPES HEXAGON STARTER KIT 9-PACK White

• Modular by design: Panels and lines connect with linkers and mounting plates, so a layout can start small and grow, or be rearranged without new wiring.
• 16 million colours: RGBW panels and lines produce over 16 million colours with adjustable white from warm to cool, dimmable from the app, by touch or by voice.
• Music and screen sync: The built-in Rhythm visualiser reacts to music, and Screen Mirror extends on-screen colour onto the wall for films and games.
• Scenes and schedules: Built-in scenes, custom animations, and schedules automate the look through the day, from a gentle wake-up glow to a focused work light.
• Smart-home control: Works with Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, IFTTT and Samsung SmartThings, over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.

Best Suited For

These Nanoleaf panels suit gamers and streamers building a backdrop, home offices that need adjustable task ambience, living rooms and bedrooms where lighting is also decoration, and studios or retail spaces that want a wall feature without construction. They are indoor, wall-mounted lights: they need a flat wall, a nearby mains socket for the controller power supply, and a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, since 5 GHz networks are not compatible with Nanoleaf products.

Setup and Connection Guide

Plan the layout on the wall first, keeping the controller within reach of a mains socket and respecting the maximum panels per power supply in the specification table. Fix the mounting plates with the supplied adhesive tape, snap the linkers in place, press each panel or line onto its plate, then connect the controller and power supply. Open the Nanoleaf app, add the device, and let LayoutDetect learn the arrangement so animations flow correctly across the design. Expansion packs add panels to an existing starter kit only; they contain no controller or power supply of their own, so they cannot run on their own.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a starter kit, or can I buy expansion packs first?

Expansion packs contain panels, linkers and mounting hardware but no controller or power supply, so they only work added to an existing starter kit. Start with a starter kit, then expand.

Will these lights work with my voice assistant?

Yes, with Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, as well as IFTTT and Samsung SmartThings, subject to the current Nanoleaf app and firmware support for your region.

Can I mix different Nanoleaf Shapes together?

Shapes panels in the Hexagon, Triangle and Mini Triangle families can be mixed in one layout. Shapes panels do not connect to the older Light Panels or to Canvas, which is a separate square-panel family.
