The BenQ LH730 is a Full HD LED business projector for meeting rooms that are used all day, every day. Its 4LED light source is rated at 4,000 ANSI lumens, a brightness level suited to small and medium conference rooms with normal ambient light, and the DLP engine behind it produces the crisp text rendering that presentation work depends on.

Like the brighter model above it in BenQ’s range, the LH730 removes the lamp from the ownership equation entirely. Image quality for presentation content

The LH730 covers 98 percent of the Rec.709 colour gamut, and its LED light source delivers saturated colour that keeps charts, diagrams and brand material readable under room lighting. Picture modes include Infographic for text and graphics, Presentation, Spreadsheet and Video Conference settings, alongside HDR10 and HLG support for video material. The projector accepts input signals from VGA up to 4K UHD and scales them to its native Full HD resolution, with an input lag of 33.4 ms at 1080p and 60 Hz. DLP technology holds contrast and colour consistency well over long service periods, with no filter to clean or replace.

Installation and alignment

The 1.2x optical zoom and 1.3 to 1.56 throw ratio give a practical range of mounting distances for typical meeting-room screen sizes, and the projector is designed to work on a table or ceiling mounted. Two-dimensional keystone correction of plus or minus 30 degrees horizontally and vertically, automatic vertical keystone, corner fit and digital shrink tools are provided to square the image during setup. As with any projector, positioning the unit correctly and using the optical zoom first will always give a sharper result than relying on digital correction. The chassis measures 420 x 131.7 x 286.7 mm and weighs 5.3 kg.

Connectivity covers two HDMI 2.0b inputs with HDCP 2.2, two USB Type A ports (one of which accepts BenQ’s optional wireless dongle for wireless presentation), a LAN port and RS232.
