BenQ MS560 SVGA Business Projector

BenQ MS560 SVGA Business Projector

The BenQ MS560 is a business projector built for meeting rooms and classrooms where lights stay on and slides carry the meeting. Its DLP engine produces an SVGA (800 x 600) image at 4000 ANSI lumens with a 20,000:1 contrast ratio, so text, spreadsheets and charts stay readable without blacking out the room. Dual HDMI inputs, auto keystone and a lamp rated for up to 15,000 hours in LampSave mode keep daily operation and ownership costs simple.

Key features

• 4000 ANSI lumens brightness for lit meeting rooms
• Native SVGA 800 x 600 resolution, 4:3 aspect ratio
• 20,000:1 contrast ratio for crisp text and charts
• Dual HDMI inputs for fast source switching
• Lamp life up to 15,000 hours in LampSave mode
• Auto vertical keystone correction, plus or minus 40 degrees
• Built-in 10W speaker for presentation audio

Brightness and readability

Presentations fail when the audience cannot read the screen, and the MS560 is specified against exactly that problem. The 4000-lumen lamp output holds up under office lighting and daylight through windows, and the high native contrast keeps small spreadsheet figures and footnotes distinct rather than grey. BenQ’s picture modes include a dedicated Data Review mode for text and numbers, alongside Presentation, Infographic, Video and sRGB modes. The native format is SVGA at 4:3, which matches a large installed base of business content; higher-resolution sources up to WUXGA are accepted and scaled to the panel, with input lag of one frame (16.67 ms) at 60 Hz.

Setup and optics

The throw ratio of 1.96 to 2.15 with a 1.1x zoom gives placement flexibility in typical meeting rooms, producing a clear image of 60 to 150 inches, and auto vertical keystone squares the picture when the projector sits at an angle on a table. A retractable adjustment foot levels the unit quickly. Two HDMI 1.4a inputs let a laptop and a media player stay connected, with VGA, composite and S-Video inputs, a monitor output, audio in and out, USB and RS232 control covering legacy and installed systems alike.

Ownership costs

Lamp life is rated at 6,000 hours in Normal mode, 10,000 hours in Economic and SmartEco modes, and 15,000 hours in LampSave mode; SmartEco trims lamp power by up to 70% when full brightness is unnecessary, which describes most slide decks. Standby consumption is under 0.5W. At roughly 2.3 kg and 296 x 221 x 120 mm, the projector also moves between rooms without ceremony. A security bar and Kensington lock slot help protect the unit in shared and public spaces. HDTV compatibility covers signals from 480i through 1080p, NTSC, PAL and SECAM video are supported for older sources, and frame packing, frame sequential, side-by-side and top-bottom 3D formats are handled for compatible content, which keeps the projector useful beyond slide work.

For offices, schools and training rooms that present documents and data all day, the MS560 is a bright, low-maintenance workhorse specified for exactly that job.
