JBL Boombox 3 Wi-Fi Speaker

JBL Boombox 3 Wi-Fi – Portable Speaker with Wi-Fi Streaming and Dolby Atmos

The JBL Boombox 3 Wi-Fi takes JBL’s largest portable speaker and adds home streaming to the mix. A three-way driver system with a dedicated subwoofer, two midrange drivers and two tweeters delivers the output, while built-in Wi-Fi handles AirPlay, Chromecast built-in, Spotify Connect and Alexa Multi-Room Music at home. Step outside and Bluetooth 5.3 takes over, with up to 24 hours of battery playtime and an IP67 waterproof, dustproof build for the outdoors.

Wi-Fi at home, Bluetooth outside

Streaming over Wi-Fi sounds better and behaves better than Bluetooth indoors: the music keeps playing when a call comes in or you scroll your phone, and high-definition services stream at full quality. Set the speaker up once in the JBL One app, and it joins your AirPlay, Chromecast or Alexa Multi-Room system like any other home speaker. Away from the network, Bluetooth 5.3 pairs with phones and tablets in the usual way, so the same speaker covers the house, the terrace and the picnic without a change of habit. The JBL One app also holds the custom EQ, so you can trim the bass for a bedroom or push it up for an open terrace and keep those settings with the speaker.

Full power on the plug, real power on the battery

Like most big portables, the Boombox 3 Wi-Fi is at its strongest on AC power, where the amplifiers deliver their full 200 W RMS. On battery the output steps down to 140 W RMS to protect playtime — still more than enough for outdoor gatherings — and the frequency response holds at 40 Hz – 20 kHz either way, so the deep bass from the built-in subwoofer does not disappear when you unplug.

Built to be carried and left outside

The metal handle with silicone grips, the 6.7 kg weight and the IP67 rating tell the story: this is a speaker meant to be moved from room to room and then taken outside. IP67 means it survives dust, rain, splashes and even a short dunk in up to a metre of water. The fabric and parts of the housing use recycled materials, and the USB powerbank output keeps a phone alive through a long day outdoors.

If your listening is split between streaming at home and taking music outside, the Boombox 3 Wi-Fi covers both jobs with one speaker instead of two.
