The Dyson WashG1 is a cordless wet floor cleaner engineered for hard floors, and it solves the oldest problem with mopping: a mop pushes dirty water around until the water itself is the dirt. The WashG1 feeds clean water continuously to two counter-rotating microfibre rollers while dirty water is extracted and collected separately, so the surface touching your floor is always being washed, never just wiped with the last room’s grime.

There is no suction. The motorised rollers do the work, lifting wet spills, dry debris, hair and dried-on stains in a single pass across tile, stone, laminate and sealed wood. Wet and dry waste are kept apart inside the machine, which makes emptying it a no-touch job, and a self-clean cycle at the dock flushes the system through in 140 seconds. Why counter-rotating rollers clean differently

The two rollers turn against each other, so debris is caught between them and lifted off the floor instead of being pushed ahead of the machine. Their dense microfibre reaches into grout lines and the texture of stone where a flat mop pad bridges over the top, and secondary brush bars comb hair and debris off the rollers as you work, while extraction plates wring the rollers out before they return to the floor. The opposing rotation also helps pull the machine forward, so covering a large floor takes noticeably less effort than dragging a mop and bucket behind you.

Three hydration levels match water delivery to the job, from a light refresh of sealed wood to sticky kitchen spills, with a Max mode held in reserve for dried-on marks. One tank covers a large home’s hard floors, the LCD keeps runtime and maintenance needs visible, and when you dock the machine the self-clean cycle flushes the rollers and pipework so it does not sit damp and stale between uses.
