Edifier K550 On-ear Wired Headphones (black) With Microphone

Edifier K550 Wired Headset with Microphone, Black

The Edifier K550 is a wired on-ear headset in Black, built for the communication day: video conferences, online classes, calls and focused listening at a computer. A 30 mm neodymium driver covers the full 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz range at an easy 32 ohm impedance, and an omnidirectional microphone carries your voice clearly. It connects by 3.5 mm and includes a PC splitter cable, so it works both with modern single-jack laptops and with desktops and older machines that keep separate headphone and microphone sockets.

Key features

• 30 mm neodymium driver for clear voice and balanced audio
• Omnidirectional microphone for calls and conferencing
• 3.5 mm connection with PC splitter cable included
• Frequency response of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz
• 32 ohm impedance: driven easily by any computer or phone
• Lightweight on-ear design for extended wear

Built for the working day at a screen

The K550’s design brief is the back-to-back day: conferences in the morning, classes or training through the afternoon, calls in between. An on-ear fit keeps it light and aware of the room, the padded cushions keep it comfortable across hours, and the wired connection removes every wireless failure mode from the day: no pairing, no battery, no dropouts halfway through a sentence that mattered. It is the headset you plug in during setup and stop thinking about.

A microphone that hears the room’s speaker

The omnidirectional microphone picks up voice from all directions around it, which suits a headset microphone positioned once and used by whoever sits down: no boom to aim precisely, no drop in level when the wearer turns to a second screen. For conferencing, classes and call work, that forgiving pickup is the right behaviour, and it pairs with the voice-clarity tuning of the 30 mm driver on the listening side.

One plug, or two: the splitter settles it

Modern laptops combine headphone and microphone in one 3.5 mm jack; desktops and older machines keep them separate, and headsets without a splitter force a choice between hearing and being heard on those machines. The included splitter cable ends that problem: single-jack devices use the headset directly, split-socket machines use the splitter, and the same headset serves the whole building. At 32 ohms, everything from a phone dongle to a desktop’s front panel drives it comfortably.

Value and longevity

A wired headset at this level is one of the best-value purchases in an office: no batteries to age, no wireless standards to strand it, and a replaceable role in any setup with a 3.5 mm socket. Kept in a desk drawer or a laptop bag, the K550 will outlast several generations of the computers it plugs into, which is the quiet economics behind its design.

For offices, students and home workers who need one dependable wired headset for calls, classes and listening, the Edifier K550 in Black is the straightforward, comfortable answer.
