BenQ PD2706UA – The 27-Inch 4K Designer Monitor on a Full-Motion ErgoArm

The BenQ PD2706UA is a 27-inch 4K UHD IPS monitor for designers, animators and video professionals, and the UA suffix marks the detail that sets it apart from the standard PD2706U: this version ships on BenQ’s ErgoArm stand. The arm gives the panel a wide range of height, tilt, swivel and pivot adjustment, so the screen floats at exactly the position your desk and posture need, and rotates to portrait for layouts, documents and code.

Colour is the reason the PD series exists. The panel covers 100 percent sRGB and Rec.709 and 95 percent DCI-P3, is individually factory calibrated to a Delta E of 3 or less, and carries Pantone Validated, Pantone SkinTone Validated and Calman Verified status. HDR10 support and a 3840 by 2160 resolution complete a specification aimed at work that will be judged on other people’s screens and in print.

Colour you can sign off

BenQ’s AQCOLOR approach treats accuracy as a system: a wide-gamut IPS panel, individual factory calibration with a report, uniformity technology that keeps brightness and colour even across the screen, and third-party validation from Pantone and Calman so skin tones and brand colours land where they should. ICC Sync keeps the monitor and your software colour profiles in step when you switch devices or colour spaces. For a designer, that removes a whole category of doubt from client work: what you approve on this screen is what the client sees.

Desk workflow and connections

A single USB-C cable carries the picture from a laptop and returns 90 W of charging power, while the built-in KVM switch lets one keyboard and mouse serve two computers. Picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture modes, plus DualView showing two colour modes side by side, support comparison work without a second monitor. The Hotkey Puck G2 puts brightness, inputs and colour modes on a physical dial at the desk edge instead of a menu hunt, and HDMI and DisplayPort inputs cover desktop machines and consoles.

Who the PD2706UA suits

Choose the PD2706UA if you do colour-critical design, photo, animation or CAD work at a desk you sit at all day, and you know the standard stand would leave the screen at the wrong height. The ErgoArm is worth it for shared desks and standing setups. If the monitor will be wall mounted or used for office documents and gaming first, BenQ makes cheaper 27-inch 4K models for that job.
