Setting up safely

Speaker stands work under a simple rule: the load is only as stable as the base beneath it. Open the tripod fully, widen the leg spread as far as the space allows, and set the stand on a level surface before lifting the cabinet onto the pole. Raise the height while supporting the speaker’s weight, lock the collar and insert any safety pin fully, then check the assembly with a firm push before walking away. Route the speaker cable down the stand and along the floor away from walkways, leaving enough slack that a snagged cable cannot pull the stand over.
