Setup and Connection Guide
Mount the unit in a 19-inch rack and connect its external 16 VAC power supply. Connect a microphone to the balanced XLR input, an instrument to the front-panel unbalanced quarter-inch input or a line source to the balanced line input, and connect the balanced XLR or quarter-inch output to your audio interface, mixer or recorder. Start with Tube Drive low and the compressor bypassed, set gain so the VU meter reads sensibly, then engage the compressor and equaliser gradually, using the 80 Hz high-pass filter to remove low rumble and the pad for very hot sources.
