Ultraprolink Powertower + Port UM1190U

Ultraprolink Powertower + Port UM1190U

The UltraProlink PowerTower + Port, model UM1190U and also sold as the Power Tower 12, replaces a nest of extension boards with one vertical tower: twelve universal AC sockets arranged around the body, plus two USB-A and two USB Type-C ports on board, sixteen devices powered or charged from a footprint smaller than a single conventional power strip. It is rated to 2500W on a 10A supply, carries 350 joules of surge and spike protection rated to 10,000 amps, and connects through a 2-metre ISI-approved cable. Desks, TV units, workbenches and shared family charging corners are its natural habitats.

Key features

• 12 universal AC sockets accepting flat, round, square and angled plugs
• 2 USB-A and 2 USB Type-C ports, combined USB output 3.4A, 17W
• Maximum power rating 2500W, for devices up to 10A
• 350J surge protection and 10,000A spike protection
• 2m ISI-approved cable for flexible placement
• 100 percent copper internal bars, fire-retardant PC body, child-proof shutters

Why a tower, not a strip

Horizontal strips waste sockets: one bulky adapter covers its neighbour, plugs fight for the same plane, and the strip itself eats the desk edge. A tower stacks sockets on multiple faces and levels, so large adapters sit on different sides instead of colliding, and every socket stays reachable. Sixteen connections in the area of a coffee mug is what makes a full workstation, a gaming corner or a home-theatre stack possible from one wall point without daisy-chained extension boards, which should never be daisy-chained in the first place.

Power and protection, with the limit stated

The 2500W ceiling comfortably covers computers, monitors, printers, consoles, TVs, chargers and small appliances used sensibly, and the manual guidance is to run heavy loads alternately rather than all at once. What it must not feed is any single device above 10A, which rules out the big resistive heaters, large kettles and similar 16A-class appliances. Surge and spike protection at 350J and 10,000A guards the connected electronics against the everyday voltage events of Indian supply, while copper internal bars keep conductivity high and heat low at the contact points.

USB charging on board

The four USB ports deliver a combined 3.4A (17W) across two USB-A and two Type-C sockets, the right size for the overnight and at-desk charging of phones, earbuds, watches, tablets and controllers. That removes four separate adapters from the AC sockets, which is how a twelve-socket tower genuinely serves sixteen devices instead of twelve devices and a tangle of bricks.

Build and household safety

The body is fire-retardant polycarbonate, the internals are copper rather than plated substitutes, and child-proof shutters close off unused sockets in family spaces. The 2-metre ISI-approved cable gives enough reach to place the tower on the desk or floor position that suits the room, rather than the one the wall dictates. UltraProlink backs the model with an 18-month warranty against manufacturing defects, with a further three months on registration via the in-box QR code, per the brand’s listing for this model.

One tower, sixteen devices, protected and off a single socket: for a crowded desk or entertainment stack, the PowerTower + Port UM1190U is the tidy end to extension-board sprawl.
