The second-generation Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds in the limited-edition Deep Plum finish refine Bose’s flagship noise-cancelling earbuds. Adaptive noise cancelling with improved ActiveSense technology reacts more smoothly to sudden sounds such as a passing vehicle or a slamming door, while CustomTune technology measures the acoustics of your ears and calibrates both sound and noise cancelling to you personally. An AI-based voice pickup system with noise suppression focuses on your voice and reduces wind and background chatter, addressing the weak point of earbud calls in busy streets, stations and offices.

Immersive Audio and Listening Modes

Bose Immersive Audio spatialises music and video so sound appears to come from a wider space in front of you rather than from inside your head, and the second generation adds a Cinema mode tuned for films and dialogue-led content. The main listening modes are Quiet for maximum noise cancelling, Aware for hearing your surroundings, and Immersive Audio modes that combine spatial sound with your chosen level of cancelling. The Bose app provides adjustable EQ, custom modes, shortcut configuration and firmware updates, so the earbuds can be tuned rather than used only as delivered.

Battery and Charging

Battery life is up to 6 hours per charge, or up to 4 hours with Immersive Audio switched on, and the case holds three additional full charges for up to 24 hours in total. A 20-minute charge returns about 2 hours of playback. New for this generation, the case charges wirelessly to the Qi standard as well as over USB-C, and the app reports the case battery level, removing the guesswork about how much reserve remains before a trip.

Fit, Calls and Connectivity
