Edifier WH700NB — 68-Hour ANC Headphone with AI Call Noise Cancellation
The Edifier WH700NB proves that you do not need to spend Rs. 20,000 or more to get a genuinely excellent noise-cancelling wireless headphone. At Rs. 12,990, the WH700NB delivers AI-powered active noise cancellation, an industry-leading 68 hours of wireless playback with ANC off, dual device connection, a 6-microphone array for crystal-clear calls, and fast charge support — all in a lightweight 240-gram foldable design. For students, daily commuters, WFH professionals, and anyone who wants premium-tier features without a premium price, the WH700NB is a standout choice in the Indian market. Key Features – AI-Powered Multi-Level ANC: Intelligent noise cancellation system with multiple levels adjustable to your environment — strong suppression for flights and metros, lighter suppression for offices and study rooms. – 68 Hours Battery (ANC Off): Class-leading wireless playback — charge it on Sunday and use it all week without thinking about the cable. – 45 Hours Battery (ANC On): Even with full noise cancellation running, you get nearly two full days of continuous use before needing a recharge. – Fast Charge: A short charge delivers meaningful playback time — perfect for those caught with low battery before heading out. – 6-Microphone Array with AI Call Noise Cancellation: Six microphones work together with AI processing to isolate your voice and suppress background noise during calls — ideal for noisy WFH environments, busy streets, and crowded offices. – Dual Device Connection: Stay simultaneously connected to your phone and laptop — seamlessly switch between taking a phone call and a laptop video meeting without manual re-pairing. – Bluetooth 5.3 with aptX: Stable, low-latency wireless connection with aptX codec for high-quality audio transmission from compatible sources. – 40mm Driver: Full-size 40mm driver for robust, dynamic sound across the full audio spectrum. – Lightweight at 240g: One of the lightest ANC headphones in its class — comfortable for all-day wear without neck fatigue. – Foldable Compact Design: Fold-flat mechanism for easy storage in backpacks, laptop bags, and carry-on luggage. Sound Quality
The WH700NB's 40mm driver delivers a sound signature tuned for everyday music enjoyment — lively, engaging, and versatile across genres. Bass is present and impactful without overwhelming the midrange, making it well-suited for the genre diversity typical of Indian listening habits: Bollywood film scores, EDM, hip-hop, classical, jazz, and pop all sound natural and energetic. The aptX codec support means Android users with compatible phones get a step up in wireless audio quality compared to standard SBC Bluetooth — tighter transients, cleaner stereo imaging, and reduced compression artifacts. The AI-powered ANC performs admirably for a headphone at this price. Multi-level adjustment means you can dial in the right amount of noise suppression for your environment rather than choosing between full-on or full-off. In metro rail environments with consistent engine and track noise, the maximum ANC setting significantly reduces the ambient drone that causes listening fatigue and forces you to raise volume to damaging levels. In office environments with air conditioning hum and keyboard sounds, a moderate ANC level handles the background noise while allowing environmental awareness for safety and communication. The 45-hour ANC-on battery means you can run the system at maximum all day, every working day, and still only charge once or twice a week. For music enjoyment at home or in quiet environments with ANC disabled, the 68-hour figure is essentially limitless for practical purposes. The frequency response from 20Hz to 20kHz covers the full range of human hearing, ensuring no audible content in your music is left unreproduced. The 40mm driver has the surface area to move meaningful air at bass frequencies while remaining controlled and accurate in the midrange where vocals and instruments live. Call Quality and AI Microphone System
In India's WFH landscape, microphone quality has become as important as audio playback quality. The WH700NB's 6-microphone array is a serious implementation — six individual microphones feed AI processing algorithms that separate your voice from ambient noise with remarkable precision. Whether you are on a video call from a home office with children and household noise in the background, taking a client call on a busy street in Bangalore or Mumbai, or in a co-working space with constant chatter around you, the AI call noise cancellation ensures the person on the other end hears you clearly rather than your environment. This level of microphone technology is typically found in headphones at significantly higher price points. Comfort and Design
At 240 grams, the WH700NB is specifically engineered for all-day comfort. The lightweight construction means it is appropriate for 8-hour work-from-home sessions, long university study sessions, and extended commutes without the neck and head pressure that heavier headphones cause over time. The earcup padding provides a comfortable seal that aids passive noise isolation even without ANC running. The foldable design collapses to a compact form factor that fits in backpack pockets, laptop bags, and travel pouches without requiring a dedicated case. Available in Black, White, and Green — the Green option is a genuinely striking choice for users who want their headphone to make a visual statement alongside its practical capabilities. Dual Device and Connectivity
Dual device connection is one of the most practically useful features in modern wireless headphones, and it is fully implemented in the WH700NB. Being simultaneously paired to both your smartphone and your laptop means you never have to manually disconnect from one device and reconnect to another. When a phone call comes in while you are listening to music from your laptop, the WH700NB automatically switches to the call and returns to laptop audio when the call ends. For professionals juggling multiple devices — which describes nearly every knowledge worker in India today — this is a feature that noticeably improves daily workflow.
