Edifier WH950NB – Wireless Noise Cancellation Over-ear Headphones (black)

Edifier WH950NB Wireless Headphones

The Edifier WH950NB in Black is an over-ear wireless headphone built for listeners who want quiet, detail and long listening sessions in one foldable design. Hybrid active noise cancellation works to reduce the steady rumble of travel, office air conditioning and street noise, while 40mm dynamic drivers carry music with clear vocals and controlled bass. The headphones are Hi-Res Audio certified and support the LDAC codec, so a compatible phone or player can send a higher-quality wireless stream than a standard Bluetooth connection allows. Leatherette earcups, a built-in microphone for calls and app-based EQ control complete a headphone intended for work, travel and everyday listening at home.

Noise cancellation that suits the journey

Hybrid active noise cancellation uses microphones inside and outside the earcups to listen to the sound around you and reduce it before it reaches your ears. That approach is particularly effective on the low, constant noises that make long journeys tiring, such as aircraft cabins, train rumble, bus engines and office ventilation. It also helps at a desk, where lowering the background level means you can listen at a more moderate volume and still hear detail in podcasts, calls and music. Combined with the sealed over-ear fit of the leatherette earcups, the WH950NB creates a calmer listening space without needing to push the volume higher.

Hi-Res Audio and LDAC detail

Many wireless headphones are limited by the codec used to carry the music. The WH950NB is Hi-Res Audio certified and supports LDAC, a codec designed to transfer more data than conventional Bluetooth audio when paired with a compatible source device. The benefit is heard in fine detail: cymbal decay, string texture, room ambience in live recordings and the separation between layered instruments. The 40mm dynamic drivers give that detail a solid foundation, with enough low-frequency weight for electronic and film music and a clear midrange for voices. Through the Edifier Connect app you can adjust the EQ to lean the balance toward your taste, whether that is a flatter presentation for studio-style listening or a warmer curve for casual playlists.

Multipoint, calls and everyday control

Bluetooth 5.3 provides the wireless connection, and multipoint support allows the headphones to stay connected to two devices at the same time. A typical pattern is a laptop for video and music during the day and a phone for calls, with the headphones switching attention when a call arrives instead of requiring you to disconnect and pair again. The built-in microphone handles those calls and online meetings, picking up your voice for conversation without a separate headset. When the battery eventually runs low, charging is through USB-C, the same connector used by most current phones and laptops, and wired listening via cable remains available for sources without Bluetooth or for listening when you prefer a direct connection.

Comfort and a foldable travel design

An over-ear headphone only works for long sessions if it stays comfortable. The WH950NB uses leatherette earcups that sit around the ears rather than pressing on them, helping both comfort and passive isolation. The foldable design folds the earcups in for storage in a bag, which matters for commuters and travellers who carry headphones daily. In Black, the finish is understated and suitable for office, travel and home use alike. Physical controls keep volume and playback handling on the headphone itself, so basic adjustments do not require reaching for a phone.

For listeners who want one headphone to cover focused work, travel and relaxed listening, the WH950NB brings together hybrid noise cancellation, LDAC Hi-Res Audio, multipoint Bluetooth and a foldable, comfortable fit in a single Black over-ear design.
