Sony WF-C700N Wireless Earbuds (Black)

Sony WF-C700N Wireless Earbuds (Black)

The Sony WF-C700N is a truly wireless in-ear headphone in black, built around a 5 mm driver unit in a closed design. Each earbud weighs approximately 4.6 g including the medium earbud tip, a figure Sony reached by shaping the housing from extensive ear-shape data, and the charging case adds only about 31 g. Noise cancelling, an Ambient Sound mode and Sony’s DSEE upscaling are all carried in this compact format, along with multipoint Bluetooth that keeps two devices connected at the same time.

Battery figures are rated with noise cancelling in normal use: up to 7.5 hours of continuous music playback from the earbuds with noise cancelling on, and up to 10 hours with it off. The case holds one further full charge, taking the totals to 15 hours and 20 hours respectively. A 10-minute quick charge returns about an hour of playback, and continuous communication time is rated at up to 5 hours.

Noise Cancelling and Ambient Sound

Two listening modes cover opposite needs. Noise cancelling reduces the steady sounds of trains, traffic and offices so music stays clear at moderate volume. Ambient Sound mode passes the outside world through at an adjustable level, for station announcements, traffic awareness and conversation without removing an earbud. Adaptive Sound Control automates the switching: it recognises activity and frequently visited places and adjusts the ambient sound settings to match, and the Sony Headphones Connect app exposes the same controls manually, together with an equaliser and 360 Reality Audio setup.

Calls, Controls and Everyday Use

For calls, a wind noise reduction structure around the microphones keeps the voice clearer outdoors, and the rated communication time of up to 5 hours covers long call days between charges. Physical buttons on the earbuds control playback, calls and noise modes, which keeps operation reliable with wet hands or gloves. The IPX4 rating covers sweat and splashes during workouts, Bluetooth 5.2 supports SBC and AAC codecs over a 10 m range, and either earbud can be used on its own when one ear needs to stay open to the room.

The WF-C700N suits commuters, office workers and gym users who want Sony noise cancelling, multipoint convenience and all-day comfort in a small, light earbud. Full technical specifications for the Sony WF-C700N are listed in the Additional Information table on this page.
