KZ Vader Pro 3 With Mic In Ear Headphone

KZ Vader Pro In-Ear Headphones with Mic

The KZ Vader Pro is a wired in-ear monitor that puts three dynamic drivers in each earpiece, six drivers in total across the pair. Rather than asking one driver to cover the whole range, KZ assigns dedicated drivers to the bass, the midrange and the treble, with crossover tuning to blend them into a single, full-range presentation. This listing is the with-microphone version, supplied with an in-line mic cable for calls and voice chat. The result is an enthusiast in-ear headphone with the detail and separation of a multi-driver design, driven easily from phones, portable players, interfaces and handheld consoles.

Three drivers, three jobs

The Vader Pro’s driver arrangement is its defining engineering choice. A dedicated low-frequency driver, built for long excursion, produces deep bass that reaches down to around 5 Hz, giving kick drums and electronic low end real physical weight. A separate midrange driver handles vocals and instruments, where clarity and natural tone matter most. A high-frequency driver, optimised for extension, carries the treble up to around 45,000 Hz, reproducing cymbal shimmer, string detail and the fine texture in recordings. Precision crossover tuning divides the signal between the three so each driver works in the range it handles best, which is how this design achieves cleaner separation between instruments than a single-driver earphone at the same level.

Tuning editions and the microphone version

KZ offers the Vader Pro in Standard and Tuning Editions. The Tuning Edition adds a set of four tuning switches on each earpiece, an electronic filter system that lets listeners raise the bass or the mid and high frequencies in steps and build a sound signature of their own; the Standard Edition keeps a fixed factory tuning. Two factory sound profiles underpin the range, a balanced profile following the HM curve and a Bass Enhanced version with stronger low-frequency energy. This with-microphone variant adds an in-line mic and control to the silver-plated cable, making the earphones practical for phone calls, team chat in games and voice notes as well as music.

Cable, fit and everyday use

The supplied cable is a high-purity, dual-braided silver-plated design chosen for conductivity and low signal loss. It connects with gold-plated 0.75 mm 2-pin connectors, so a worn or damaged cable can be replaced instead of the whole earphone, and upgrade cables fit the same sockets. The cable can also be swapped for KZ’s optional Bluetooth module to convert the Vader Pro into a wireless earphone. At about 120 cm, the cable suits portable and desktop use, ending in a 3.5 mm plug. The earpieces follow an ear-canal-optimised ergonomic shape, and the included silicone tips in small, medium and large, plus a memory foam pair, let you find the seal that delivers full bass and effective passive isolation.

With 18 ohm impedance and 106 dB sensitivity, the Vader Pro reaches full volume from modest sources without a dedicated amplifier, though it scales happily with better players and DACs. For listeners who want genuine multi-driver performance, a replaceable cable and a microphone for daily communication in one wired in-ear, the Vader Pro is a focused and capable design.
