The Accsoon PowerCage II is an adjustable aluminium cage that turns an iPad into a riggable, externally powered on-set monitor and production tool. The sliding frame adapts to a wide span of iPad, iPad Air and iPad Pro models, protects the tablet’s edges, and adds the mounting points and battery power an iPad lacks on its own. With the included ACC04 NP-F battery adapter fitted, the cage delivers up to 20W of USB-C PD power, so the iPad keeps working through a full day of monitoring instead of fading mid-shoot.

Built around the iPad as a monitor

Paired with an Accsoon SeeMo interface, an iPad in the PowerCage II becomes an HDMI production monitor with professional monitoring tools such as waveform, vectorscope, false colour and audio meters, plus the ability to record and review takes on the tablet. The cage provides the dedicated mounting position for the SeeMo on its tilting stand, keeping the interface, cables and tablet in one tidy unit that can sit on a desk, mount to a stand or travel between setups.

The frame itself is precision-cut from aviation-grade aluminium alloy and weighs 340 g, light enough that the rig stays practical to hand-hold or mount on an arm, while the sliding design locks the tablet securely and adapts when the production changes iPad models.

Power that outlasts the shoot

The ACC04 adapter clips onto the cage and accepts a standard Sony NP-F type battery, a format most video crews already own in several sizes. Connected to the iPad, it delivers up to 20W of USB Power Delivery for powering and charging during use, and it carries its own battery level indicator and protection circuit. Away from the cage, the same adapter can power or charge other devices over USB-A, USB-C and DC outputs, which makes it a useful general-purpose field power plate rather than a single-job accessory. Note that the NP-F plate and a SeeMo unit share the mounting position, so they are used one at a time.

Mounting for a real rig

Ten threaded mounting points and two cold shoes spread around the frame give handles, articulating arms, LED lights, microphones and wireless receivers a proper home, and the built-in tilting stand handles the simple tabletop case with no extra hardware. Concealed cable routing keeps the USB-C run to the iPad tidy.
