Straight mode and boom mode

Straight mode is the right choice when the sound source can stand at the base: lead and backing vocals, speeches, announcements, and choral or podium work where a boom arm would only add visual clutter. Boom mode earns its place as soon as something sits between the singer and the stand: a guitar body, a keyboard, a drum, or a lectern. The telescopic action lets the boom’s reach be set to the job rather than fixed at one length, and lets it be shortened again so the stand stores and carries as a compact unit. Switching between the two is a setup change, not a purchase decision.

Why a round base

Setting it up
