The M-Audio Oxygen Pro 25 packs the professional Oxygen Pro feature set into a compact 25-key controller for producers who travel or work in tight spaces. Its 25 semi-weighted velocity-sensitive keys offer aftertouch and assignable zones, giving small keyboard parts a genuinely expressive feel, while 16 RGB backlit pads with Note Repeat handle drums, clips and samples. Eight assignable knobs, an assignable fader, pitch and modulation wheels and a 5-pin MIDI output connect the controller to both software instruments and hardware synths. The M-Audio Oxygen Pro 25 also brings Smart Chord and Smart Scale modes, an arpeggiator and auto-mapped DAW control, so a small controller never feels like a compromise in a serious session.
Why Choose M-Audio Oxygen Pro 25?
Compact controllers often cut the controls that make production fast, but the M-Audio Oxygen Pro 25 keeps them: RGB pads for beatmaking, knobs for sound shaping, Smart Chord for instant harmonies, and an OLED display for editing without guesswork. Its semi-weighted keybed with aftertouch plays far better than the light synth-action keys on most mini controllers, which matters when you record expressive lead and bass parts. Because it is USB-powered and fits in a backpack, it works as a main controller for a laptop studio and as a travel companion for a larger studio rig. The bundled software, including Ableton Live Lite, MPC Beats and AIR instruments, means the M-Audio Oxygen Pro 25 is productive from the first session.

Best Suited For
The M-Audio Oxygen Pro 25 suits travelling producers, beatmakers, students and laptop-studio owners who need a pro control surface in minimal space. It is ideal for electronic music, hip-hop and sketching ideas on the move, and it pairs with hardware synths through its MIDI output. Players who need two-handed piano range should choose the 49- or 61-key Pro models, but for beats, bass and lead work in a compact rig, the Pro 25 is a strong choice.
Setup and Connection Guide
Connect the M-Audio Oxygen Pro 25 over USB, select it in your DAW, and load the matching DAW preset so its knobs, fader and transport controls auto-map. Play the keys to confirm velocity and aftertouch response, tap the RGB pads for drums, and use the octave buttons to move the 25-key range across bass, mid and lead registers. To control a hardware synth, connect the 5-pin MIDI output to the synth’s MIDI input and set both to the same channel. Connect a sustain pedal to the quarter-inch input for held notes, and use Smart Chord mode when you want full chords from single keys.
