ADAM Audio D3V Active Desktop Studio Monitor Speakers – White

ADAM Audio D3V – ADAM Monitoring, Made for the Desktop (White)

The ADAM Audio D3V brings the company’s studio monitor engineering down to desktop size. This fully active stereo system pairs 3.5-inch aluminium woofers with ADAM’s signature D-ART ribbon tweeter, adds dual-sided passive radiators for bass extension down to 45 Hz, and connects to a computer or phone with a single USB-C cable – no audio interface required.

This is the white finish, made to sit as comfortably in a home office or living space as in a project studio, and it comes with detachable stands angled at 15 degrees to aim the sound at your ears.

The ribbon tweeter, on your desk

ADAM Audio built its reputation on the Accelerated Ribbon Tweeter, a folded diaphragm that moves air several times faster than a conventional dome and reproduces high frequencies with exceptional detail and very low distortion. The D-ART is that technology engineered for nearfield desktop use. Transients stay crisp, stereo imaging stays precise, and long listening sessions stay comfortable, because the tweeter is resolving detail rather than adding edge. It is the main reason the D3V sounds like a small professional monitor instead of a multimedia speaker.

Bass that should not fit in this cabinet

A 3.5-inch woofer in a compact cabinet has no business reaching 45 Hz, and the D3V gets there with dual-sided passive radiators that work with the woofer to extend the low end without a port – so there is no port noise and no chuffing on bass-heavy material. The result is a desktop system that handles electronic music, film sound and full-range mixes credibly, without a subwoofer.

Placement controls and everyday practicality

Desks, walls and corners all change how a small monitor sounds, so the D3V includes DSP-powered switches to compensate for the common placement problems, tuned from the back panel of the left speaker. USB-C makes setup a single cable, the front headphone socket covers late-night work, and the underside thread mounts the speakers on microphone stands when desk space is tight. The cabinets are finished to a standard that survives close inspection at arm’s length, which is exactly where desktop products spend their lives, and the pair is light enough to move between a studio desk and a living room without a second thought.

For songwriters, producers and listeners who want genuine ADAM Audio monitoring in the space a desk actually offers, the D3V is the complete package.
