The ADAM Audio T7V is a two-way active nearfield studio monitor and the largest model in ADAM’s affordable T Series. This listing is a pre-owned (used) unit. Its 7-inch polypropylene woofer and ADAM’s U-ART accelerated ribbon tweeter — a 1.9-inch diaphragm driven through the precision HPS waveguide from ADAM’s flagship S Series — deliver a frequency response from 39 Hz to 25 kHz, with the wide, even dispersion ribbon tweeters are prized for in nearfield work.

Power comes from two Class-D PWM amplifiers (50 W for the woofer, 20 W for the tweeter), giving the pair a maximum peak level of 110 dB at one metre — comfortably more than nearfield monitoring demands. Connections cover balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA, and rear-panel DSP-controlled switches (high shelf and low shelf) let you compensate for room placement, such as monitors pushed close to a wall or sitting on a reflective desk.

Why Ribbon Tweeters Suit Nearfield Monitoring

A ribbon diaphragm moves as a single surface driven along its whole area, rather than being pushed from a central voice coil like a dome. In the U-ART design the pleated diaphragm moves air four times faster than its own motion, which translates into extended high-frequency response and low distortion at the listening levels used on a studio desk. The HPS waveguide controls dispersion so the sweet spot stays wide — useful when you lean across a mixing desk rather than sitting in one fixed spot.
