Elite Screens Electric 100XH Projection Screen – 100 Inch, 16:9

The Elite Screens Electric 100XH is a 100-inch diagonal, 16:9 motorised projection screen from Elite’s Spectrum family, for wall or ceiling mounting in home theatres, classrooms and meeting rooms. The viewing area measures 221.5 cm wide by 124.5 cm high (87.2 by 49.0 inches). Its MaxWhite material provides 1.1 gain with a 180-degree viewing angle, a matte reference surface for standard and long-throw projectors that is 4K Ultra HD and Active 3D ready. Full black backing stops light bleeding through the material, and black masking borders on all four sides sharpen perceived contrast and absorb projector overshoot at the edges.

Motor and Control Options

The screen runs on a silent, energy-efficient synchronous motor inside an all-steel casing, and it ships fully assembled: mount it, connect the 3-prong power connection, and it is ready to use. Control covers almost every installation pattern. Built-in infrared and radio frequency receivers work with the included IR and RF remotes, a detachable 3-way wall switch provides wired up, stop and down control, and the 5-12 V trigger port on an RJ45 connection synchronises the screen’s drop and rise with the projector’s power cycle, so switching the projector on lowers the screen automatically.

Material and Image Quality

MaxWhite is a multi-layer weave material with a textured surface that reduces moire and hot spotting from standard-throw projectors. The 1.1 gain keeps brightness close to the projector’s own output while the wide 180-degree diffusion holds luminance for viewers seated well off axis, which matters in classrooms and meeting rooms as much as in a cinema room. The material is not designed for ultra-short-throw projectors, whose steep projection angle needs a dedicated surface. GREENGUARD and GREENGUARD Gold certification covers low chemical emissions for indoor use in schools and offices.

Installation Notes

The casing mounts to a wall or ceiling, and the net weight is 9.1 kg, so fixings should suit the substrate. Plan the trigger and power connections at installation time if you intend to use projector synchronisation, and position the screen so its 124.5 cm viewing height plus the top border clears doors and furniture below.

Before installation, confirm the ceiling or wall can support the casing, allow clearance for the full drop of the material, and keep the viewing area free of direct sunlight, which washes out any matte projection surface regardless of projector brightness.
