Samsung The Freestyle 2nd Gen Portable Projector with Gaming Hub

Samsung The Freestyle 2nd Gen Portable Projector with Gaming Hub

The Freestyle 2nd Gen takes Samsung’s point-and-play portable projector and adds the feature gamers asked for: the Samsung Gaming Hub, built in. The compact cylinder sits in a cradle that rotates 180 degrees, projects a Full HD picture from 30 to 100 inches on walls or ceilings, and sets itself up – auto keystone straightens the image, auto focus sharpens it and auto levelling squares it, with Smart Calibration fine-tuning colour from your phone.

The DLP engine is Full HD 1920 x 1080 with an LED light source rated for 30,000 hours and 230 ANSI lumens of brightness, plus HDR10+ support. Like the first generation it runs Samsung’s full Tizen Smart TV platform, so streaming apps are native, not an afterthought.

• 180-degree rotating cradle for wall or ceiling projection
• Built-in 5W 360-degree speaker
• Smart Edge Blending: two units combine into one ultra-wide image
• SolarCell remote charges from light – no disposable batteries
• USB-C power with support for external battery bases for cordless use

Gaming Hub, Front and Centre

The Gaming Hub aggregates cloud gaming services into one screen: pair a Bluetooth controller and supported game-streaming subscriptions play directly on the projector, no console or PC required. For films and shows, the Tizen platform carries the certified streaming apps, Tap View and AirPlay 2 mirror phones, and a Micro HDMI input takes a console, laptop or player in the conventional way. Adaptive Sound adjusts the 5W 360-degree speaker’s balance to what is on screen.

Two Projectors, One Picture

Smart Edge Blending is the 2nd Gen’s party trick: place two Freestyle units side by side and the system merges their outputs into a single wider image, useful for big-match nights and presentations. Ambient Mode remains for downtime – art, photos and information displays – and the whole unit weighs just 0.8kg with its stand, running at a quiet 30dB(A) so it never competes with the content.

Where the Freestyle 2nd Gen Fits

Bedrooms, dorms and rented spaces where a TV is impractical; spontaneous big-screen gaming; backyard movie nights with a battery base; and travel, where a hotel wall becomes the screen. The full technical specification is listed in the Additional Information table on this page.
