Edifier MR3 Studio Monitors (Pair, White)

Edifier MR3 – 3.5-inch Powered Studio Monitors (Pair, White)

The Edifier MR3 is an entry point into proper studio monitoring: a powered 3.5-inch monitor pair with 36 watts of amplification, Hi-Res Audio certification and the balanced inputs professionals expect – finished in white for bright studios, editing suites and home offices. The tuning is deliberately honest rather than flattering, so mixes, edits and dialogue work made on the MR3 translate predictably to other systems.

Key features

• 3.5-inch mid-woofer and 1-inch silk dome tweeter per cabinet
• 36 W RMS total power (18 W per side)
• Hi-Res Audio certified, with frequency response extending to 40 kHz
• Balanced TRS input for clean connection to audio interfaces
• RCA and AUX inputs for computers and consumer sources
• Bluetooth wireless streaming for reference checks and everyday listening
• Front headphone output for quick private monitoring
• Clean white finish, sold as a matched stereo pair

Monitoring accuracy on a desk budget

The MR series exists because laptop and multimedia speakers hide problems: boosted bass masks muddy mixes, and hyped treble makes harsh recordings sound exciting. The MR3’s flat, DSP-managed response shows you the recording as it is. That honesty is what lets a beginner’s mixes improve – decisions about EQ, balance and reverb are made on real information, and video editors get dialogue clarity that makes speech editing faster and more accurate.

Connections for creators

The balanced TRS input connects to an audio interface without the hum and interference unbalanced cables pick up near computers. RCA and front AUX cover direct computer and phone connections, the front headphone jack allows instant A/B checks between speakers and headphones, and Bluetooth makes the pair useful for casual listening and phone reference playback between sessions.

Placement in small rooms

The compact cabinets suit desks in bedrooms and small studios. Place them at ear level, angled toward your seat, and keep some distance from walls to avoid bass build-up; the MR3’s controlled low end is designed for exactly these nearfield conditions.

Desk setup checklist

Give the MR3 the basics studio monitors need: ear-level placement on the desk or small stands, the tweeters aimed at your ears, and the balanced TRS input used when an interface is available. A pair of foam isolation pads helps if the desk resonates. Break the speakers in with a few evenings of normal listening before judging the low end – and judge them on familiar tracks, not test tones.

For creators starting out – or anyone who wants their workspace to sound as considered as it looks – the white MR3 pair makes proper monitoring accessible.
