Dali Katch G2 Portable Bluetooth Speaker (Caramel White)

Dali Katch G2 Portable Bluetooth Speaker (Caramel White) – Elegant Looks, Serious Loudspeaker Engineering

The Dali Katch G2 in Caramel White applies decades of Danish loudspeaker design to the portable Bluetooth format. Its slim, book-like cabinet houses a proper two-way stereo system firing from both sides, so music fills a space evenly instead of beaming from one small grille. It suits bedrooms, studies, terraces and hotel rooms equally well, anywhere a standard portable sounds thin but a full hi-fi system is impractical.

Everything about the Katch G2 is built around listening over long periods. The tuning prioritises balance and detail, the battery is rated for up to 30 hours, and the materials feel closer to furniture than to consumer electronics. In Caramel White, with its leather strap, it is designed to be left out on display rather than hidden in a drawer between uses.

Performance

With a frequency response starting at 49 Hz, the Katch G2 reproduces the fundamentals of most music without relying on exaggerated upper-bass lift. The aluminium cones stay composed as volume rises, and the soft dome tweeters keep high frequencies smooth rather than sharp, which makes the speaker easy to listen to for hours. Maximum output reaches 95 dB, comfortably filling a medium room.

The dual sound modes are more than a gimmick. Clear presents a neutral balance that flatters acoustic and vocal recordings, while Warm adds low-end presence that compensates when the speaker is used outdoors or placed in the middle of a room, away from reinforcing surfaces.

Design and build

At 138 mm tall, 268.5 mm wide and only 47 mm deep, the cabinet takes up little space on a shelf or side table, and the 1.1 kg weight makes it simple to move from room to room. The Caramel White finish pairs with the leather carrying strap for a warm, Scandinavian look, and the strap retracts neatly so the profile stays clean when the speaker is stationary.

Battery and everyday use

The 3300 mAh lithium-ion battery supports up to 30 hours of playback and can also charge a phone through the USB output. Controls along the top edge handle power, volume, source and sound mode, and auto standby reduces drain when the music stops. A mains charger, travel plugs and a travel bag are supplied in the box.

Choose the Katch G2 in Caramel White if you want a single portable speaker that looks refined on a shelf, travels without fuss and sounds like it was designed by people who build loudspeakers for a living.
