Devialet Phantom Ultimate 108 dB Wireless Speaker (Light Pearl)

Devialet Phantom Ultimate 108 dB Wireless Speaker (Light Pearl)

Devialet’s Phantom Ultimate 108 dB is the flagship of the Phantom Ultimate range: a single compact speaker engineered to fill a room with full-body sound. With 1,100 watts of total amplification driving a new generation of drivers, it reaches 108 dB SPL at one metre and spans a bandwidth from 14 Hz to 35 kHz, delivering bass you feel as much as hear, and highs that stay clean and detailed.

Every Phantom Ultimate 108 dB is designed in Paris and manufactured in France. Inside, Devialet’s latest-generation Analog Digital Hybrid (ADH) amplification works with the Devialet Operating System 3 (DOS 3), running on a quad-core NXP i.MX 8M Nano processor. The result is sound reproduced with precision: free from distortion, saturation and background noise, with a measured background noise of 0 dB SPL at one metre.

Inside the Sound: ADH, HBI and SAM

Devialet’s Analog Digital Hybrid (ADH) next-generation amplification combines the musicality of analog circuitry with the precision of digital processing, reaching frequencies up to 35 kHz while keeping power consumption low. Heart Bass Implosion (HBI) is Devialet’s approach to infra-bass: two perfectly synchronized lateral woofers thrust in unison, cancelling unwanted vibrations so bass down to 14 Hz arrives as pure, physical impact rather than cabinet rattle. Speaker Active Matching (SAM) adapts in real time to both sharp transients and sustained notes, keeping phase and amplitude reproduction razor-sharp. Adaptive Volume Level (AVL) applies real-time dynamic equalization so quiet passages stay clear and loud passages stay controlled.

Connectivity, Your Way

The Phantom Ultimate 108 dB connects over Wi-Fi 6 on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands for stable, low-latency streaming, and over Bluetooth 5.3 (A2DP/AVRCP with SBC and AAC codecs) for direct playback from a phone or tablet. High-resolution sources arrive through AirPlay, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, UPnP or Roon Ready, while a TOSLINK optical input accepts up to 24-bit / 192 kHz from a TV or external source and a Gigabit Ethernet port offers a wired network connection. Two Phantom Ultimate 108 dB speakers pair into a true stereo system through the Devialet app, and multi-room setups are possible via AirPlay or Google Cast.

Where It Fits

In Light Pearl, the Phantom Ultimate 108 dB works as a single statement speaker for a living room: movie nights benefit from the dedicated Movie mode and deep 14 Hz bass extension, while music listeners get studio-grade detail through the Music mode. Pair two units for a dedicated stereo listening setup with genuine soundstage width, or place one in a bedroom or study for high-resolution everyday listening. Podcast mode tunes the speaker for spoken word. With IP43 splash resistance, it also tolerates the occasional splash near a kitchen counter.
