Infinity CLUBZ-150 Bluetooth Speaker Black

Infinity CLUBZ-150 Bluetooth Speaker Black

The Infinity CLUBZ-150 is a compact portable Bluetooth speaker from Infinity, the lifestyle audio brand from Harman. Finished in black and small enough to hold in one hand, it is built for listeners who want proper speaker sound without carrying anything bulky. A single 43mm transducer delivers 4.5W of output, and the sealed body carries an IPX7 waterproof rating, so the same speaker that sits on a desk during the week can travel to a terrace, a picnic or a poolside without special handling. Bluetooth 4.2 handles wireless streaming from a phone, tablet or laptop, while a 3.5mm Aux input covers wired sources. At 195 grams, it adds almost nothing to a bag, yet it plays for up to 8 hours at 50% volume from its built-in rechargeable battery.

Sound and Dual EQ

Small speakers live or die by how honestly they use their limited cabinet volume, and the CLUBZ-150 is tuned with that in mind. The 43mm transducer covers a frequency response of 120Hz to 20kHz, keeping vocals clear and giving podcasts, acoustic tracks and pop music a clean, forward presentation. Harman lists a signal-to-noise ratio of 70dB on the Aux path, which keeps background hiss out of quiet passages. The Dual EQ feature adds a second sound signature at the press of the volume buttons together, sharpening the presentation when you want more punch and definition. It is a useful option on a speaker this size, because a single fixed tuning rarely suits both background listening at a desk and louder playback outdoors. Deep bass is part of the CLUBZ character, so beat-driven music keeps its weight even though the cabinet is compact.

Waterproof and made to travel

The IPX7 rating means the speaker can be immersed in water up to 1 metre deep for up to 30 minutes, provided all cable connections are removed and the protective cap is closed tightly, exactly as Harman specifies. Rain at a campsite, splashes beside a pool or a spilled drink on a table are the everyday hazards this rating is designed to survive. The durable fabric coating resists scuffs from bags and backpacks, and the cylindrical body, about 70mm across and 82.3mm tall, stands stably on flat surfaces. Because there are no delicate finishes to protect, the CLUBZ-150 suits the way portable speakers are actually used: carried loose, set down anywhere and played without ceremony.

Battery, charging and connections

Inside is a lithium-ion polymer battery rated at 3.7V and 750mAh. Harman quotes up to 8 hours of playback at 50% volume, which covers a full working day of background music or an evening outdoors without reaching for a charger. A full charge takes about 3.5 hours at 5V and 0.5A through the Micro USB charging port, using a standard phone charger or a laptop port. Bluetooth 4.2 supports the A2DP profile for music streaming and HFP for hands-free use, and the speaker remembers its pairing so reconnection is quick. When wireless is not an option, the 3.5mm Aux input accepts any wired source. Dual speaker connect lets you pair a second CLUBZ-150 for a wider, louder stereo-style presentation at gatherings.

Everyday listening, anywhere

The CLUBZ-150 makes most sense as an always-ready second speaker: louder and fuller than a phone, small enough to ignore when packing. Voice assistant integration means a long press can reach Google Assistant or Siri for weather, timers and calls without picking up the phone. Indoors it handles kitchen listening, study sessions and video sound from a tablet; outdoors it covers balconies, gardens and short trips where its waterproofing removes the usual worry about the weather turning. It is a straightforward, well-specified portable speaker for listeners who value size, durability and battery life over sheer volume.
