Sonos Era 300 Wall Mount (White)

Sonos Era 300 Wall Mount (White)

The Sonos Era 300 Wall Mount is the official bracket Sonos designed for its spatial-audio speaker, in a white finish matched to the speaker. The Era 300 fires sound forwards, sideways and upwards, so where it sits changes what you hear more than with an ordinary speaker; this mount puts it exactly where the room needs it, at height and angled, instead of wherever a shelf happens to be.

A ball-and-socket joint swivels the speaker 15 degrees up or down and left or right, enough to aim the sound field at the listening position or to fine-tune a rear-surround pair behind the sofa. The bracket holds the speaker 63 mm off the wall, a gap sized to reduce reflections and minimise vibration while leaving room behind the cabinet for the power connection and Sonos Line-In or Combo adapters.

Why placement matters for Era 300

The Era 300 renders Dolby Atmos and spatial audio with drivers that fire in several directions, including an up-firing driver that uses the ceiling as part of the soundstage. Wall mounting at the right height, with clearance around the cabinet and a slight tilt toward the seats, is how the speaker was designed to be heard, and it is close to impossible to achieve on a crowded media unit. As rear surrounds with a Sonos soundbar, a matched pair on these mounts delivers the height effects that make Atmos soundtracks convincing.

Installation notes

Sonos specifies stud mounting: the bracket fixes to a wall stud, not to drywall alone. Installation needs only a pencil, a level and a Phillips screwdriver, and the speaker screws securely to the mount once the bracket is up. The full specification is in the Additional Information table on this page.
