Behringer ULTRA-DI PRO DI4000 Active DI Box

Behringer ULTRA-DI PRO DI4000 Active DI Box
Behringer ULTRA-DI PRO DI4000 is an active 4-channel direct-injection box for matching appropriate instrument or source signals to balanced downstream inputs. Why Choose Behringer ULTRA-DI PRO DI4000? DI4000 places four DI channels in a rack format, making it useful for a keyboard rig or several stage sources that need organised balanced feeds. The inventory omits a V2 suffix, so confirm the actual version before transferring version-specific controls or accessories. Choose the receiving input level and use the pad or signal controls according to the model manual. A DI box prepares the analogue signal for a mixer or interface; it does not add digital recording, speaker power or the mixing controls of a console. Key Features – 4 active channels: planned direct-injection signals. – Balanced output role: suitable downstream mixer inputs. – Rack format: organised multiple-source setup. – Signal matching: check input level, pad and power arrangement. Best Suited For
Connecting instruments and appropriate source signals to suitable balanced mixer or recording inputs. Select the DI arrangement around source level, impedance and the required channel count. A DI box handles signal interfacing; it does not replace the mixer’s channel controls, a computer recording interface or the amplifier driving the PA speakers. Setup and Connection Guide
Reduce receiving gain before connecting the source to the correct input and the balanced output to a suitable mixer channel. Use the documented power arrangement for an active DI. Start with conservative gain and engage the input pad only where signal level requires it. Test one channel first and check any link output separately. Use the audio ground-lift function only as described when troubleshooting the signal path, while keeping the equipment’s mains protective earth intact. Label channels clearly for a multi-instrument stage or recording setup. Frequently Asked Questions
Does DI4000 replace a mixer or computer recording interface? No. It provides direct-injection signal matching and supported routing. A mixer handles channel combination and control, while a recording interface supplies the computer audio connection. Choose the rest of the signal chain around the task. Is a DI box the same as a USB audio interface? No. It prepares or routes an analogue audio signal for suitable downstream equipment. Computer recording still needs a compatible interface or mixer with the required digital connection, and the source must be routed through that equipment. Does the ground-lift switch mean I should remove mains earth? No. An audio ground-lift function is part of the DI signal arrangement. It is not an instruction to disconnect protective mains earth. Follow the model’s connection guidance and investigate the actual noise path. Technical Specifications Specification
