BenQ RP6504 65-inch Interactive Panel

BenQ RP6504 65-inch Interactive Panel

The BenQ RP6504 is the 65-inch model in BenQ’s Board Pro RP04 series of interactive displays. It is a 4K UHD touchscreen panel with an EDLA-certified Android system and official Google integration, built for classrooms and meeting rooms where several people need to write, present and share content on the same surface.

Key features

• 65-inch 4K UHD IPS panel: 3840 x 2160 resolution at 450 nits brightness
• Up to 50 touch points: Ultra Precision IR touch with response under 2.5 ms
• EDLA-certified Google integration: Android system with Google apps and services
• Germ-resistant glass: nano-ionic silver screen, 9H tempered, anti-glare
• 8-microphone array: pickup range up to 8 metres for hybrid meetings and lessons
• 2.1-channel audio: two 20 W speakers plus a 16 W subwoofer
• Air quality sensors: CO2, particulate, TVOC, temperature and humidity monitoring

Display and touch

The IPS panel has an active area of 1428.5 x 803.5 mm, a 1200:1 typical contrast ratio, a 50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 10-bit colour depth and 72 percent NTSC colour gamut, with an 8 ms response time. Backlight life is rated at 50,000 hours and the panel is specified for 18 hours a day, seven days a week operation. Touch uses BenQ’s Ultra Precision IR technology, supporting up to fifty simultaneous touch points so a whole group can annotate at once, and the glass is 9H tempered with an anti-glare finish for rooms with windows and ceiling lights.

System and software

Inside, an Arm Cortex-A78 and A55 processor with a Mali-G57 MC5 GPU runs the Android system with 8 GB of memory and 64 GB of storage, with some configurations offering 128 GB. EDLA certification means Google Drive, Docs and other Google services run natively rather than through a browser workaround, and BenQ’s EZWrite whiteboard software handles annotation and lesson or meeting capture. An OPS slot accepts a slot-in PC for organisations that standardise on Windows, so the same panel can serve both ecosystems.

Connections and hybrid use

Connectivity is extensive: four HDMI 2.0 inputs and one HDMI output, a DisplayPort 1.2a input, VGA, multiple USB-A and USB-B touch ports, and USB-C ports including one with 100 W power delivery and another with 65 W, so a laptop can connect picture, touch and charging on a single cable. Dual Ethernet ports, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, RS-232 control, S/PDIF output and an NFC sensor for tap-to-sign-in are also fitted. The eight-microphone array and front speakers are specified for hybrid rooms where remote participants need to hear the whole space.

Health and room features

BenQ builds environmental sensing into this series: CO2, PM2.5, PM10, TVOC and formaldehyde readings plus temperature and humidity, with an air ionizer. The germ-resistant nano-ionic silver glass addresses shared-surface hygiene in schools and public meeting spaces, and ambient light and motion sensors support automatic behaviour. The panel measures 1488.4 x 937.6 x 117.7 mm and weighs 40.6 kg, with a 600 x 400 mm VESA pattern, so wall mounting needs a suitably rated bracket and a proper structural fixing.

The RP6504 fits education and corporate rooms that want a single surface for presenting, whiteboarding and video calls, with Google services available without an external computer. Plan the mount, cable runs and a camera position at the same time as the panel itself for a clean hybrid setup.
