BISSELL SpotClean HydroSteam 3700A Portable Spot And Upholstery Cleaner

BISSELL SpotClean HydroSteam 3700A Portable Spot and Upholstery Cleaner

The BISSELL SpotClean HydroSteam 3700A is a portable extraction cleaner that adds steam to the spot-cleaning formula: BISSELL’s HydroSteam technology combines steam, water and cleaning solution to loosen and lift stains from upholstery, carpets, stairs, car interiors and other manufacturer-approved surfaces, then extracts the residue into a separate dirty-water tank. It is the tool for the spills and marks that a vacuum cannot touch and a full carpet wash is overkill for.

Key features

• HydroSteam technology: steam plus wash for set-in spot stains
• Three cleaning modes — SteamWash Max, Steam and Quick Dry
• Portable extraction format for spots rather than whole rooms
• Separate clean and dirty water tanks
• Flexible hose and spot-cleaning tools for upholstery and stairs
• Suited to upholstery, carpet spots, mattresses and car interiors (per the model manual)
• Compact storage footprint for a utility cupboard

Three modes, three jobs

SteamWash Max brings steam and solution together for dried, set-in stains. Steam mode tackles greasy marks and sanitises approved hard-wearing surfaces with heat alone. Quick Dry cleans and leaves upholstery ready to use sooner, without the deep wetting. Choosing the mode to match the stain and the material — and testing on a hidden patch first, as the manual directs — is what separates a good result from a faded one.

Extraction is the difference

Wiping a stain spreads it; extraction removes it. The SpotClean sprays the solution into the fibres, agitates with the tool brush and pulls the loosened dirt back into the dirty tank, so what left the carpet is visible in the water. For pet accidents, food spills and tracked-in monsoon grime, that removal is the whole point.

Portable by design

The machine is sized to carry one-handed to the stain: up a staircase, out to the car, across to the sofa. Tanks lift out for filling and emptying at the sink, the hose reaches into footwells and between cushions, and everything stores in the space of a bucket.

A stain playbook

Fresh spills respond to Quick Dry or a light SteamWash pass; dried and set-in marks want SteamWash Max and patience — work from the outside of the stain inward so it does not spread, and extract until the returning water runs clearer. Car interiors are the machine’s second home: seats, carpets and mats all sit within the hose’s reach from the driveway. Always check the surface’s care label, test the solution on a hidden area, and let cleaned upholstery dry before use. Used this way, the 3700A handles the incidents that otherwise become permanent — which, for households with children and pets, is a weekly event.

Choose the SpotClean HydroSteam 3700A if your home’s cleaning emergencies are spots, upholstery and stairs — steam-assisted extraction in a machine that lives in a cupboard and works in minutes.
