WiiM Voice Remote with Alexa Voice Control (Silver)
The WiiM Voice Remote is the current-generation Bluetooth remote control for WiiM music streamers and amplifiers, bringing Alexa voice control, one-touch playback and four programmable preset buttons to your listening room — no phone and no separate Alexa device needed. Finished in silver aluminium, it pairs with the WiiM Mini, WiiM Pro and other WiiM streamers and amplifiers through the WiiM Home app. Press and hold the push-to-talk button, speak your request, and your WiiM device responds: play a playlist, skip a track, turn the volume up or launch a favourite radio station. A built-in rechargeable battery charges over USB-C, so there are no disposable batteries to buy or replace.
Why Choose WiiM Voice Remote?
A streamer is at its best when it disappears into the listening experience, and this remote does exactly that. Instead of unlocking your phone, opening an app and hunting through menus, you pick up the remote and press one button. Voice control handles the searching: ask Alexa for an artist, album, playlist or podcast and the music starts. The four preset buttons cover the rest — your morning playlist, a favourite radio station, a podcast or a whole multi-room scene can each live on a single press. Because it connects over Bluetooth Low Energy, it works from anywhere in the room without line of sight, and the slim aluminium body feels solid in the hand while staying light enough to leave on the coffee table.
Key Features
Push-to-talk Alexa: Press and hold the voice button on the side of the remote, speak your command, and release — no “Alexa” wake word and no separate Echo device needed.
Four programmable preset buttons: Assign each of the four numbered buttons to a favourite playlist, radio station, podcast or other device action in the WiiM Home app.
360° Bluetooth control: Bluetooth Low Energy connects to your WiiM device from any angle, with button commands working up to 15 metres away and voice commands up to 9 metres.
USB-C rechargeable battery: A built-in 475 mAh rechargeable battery charges over USB-C, so there are no disposable batteries to replace.
Premium aluminium design: A slim silver aluminium body (145.5 x 38.5 x 9.8 mm, 85 g) that matches WiiM streamers and amplifiers.
Complete playback control: Play/pause, previous/next track, volume up/down, mute, source switching and standby from dedicated buttons.
Best Suited For
The WiiM Voice Remote is best suited for owners of a WiiM Mini, WiiM Pro, WiiM Pro Plus, WiiM Ultra or WiiM Amp who want faster everyday control than the app alone. It suits living-room systems where the phone is not always to hand, multi-room setups where one remote can drive the music in any room, and households where different family members each want their own preset — one press for a playlist, another for the news. It is also a practical addition for anyone setting up a first WiiM streamer who would rather control music by voice than by phone.
Setup and Connection Guide
Setup takes a couple of minutes. Charge the remote over USB-C first, then open the WiiM Home app on your phone, go to the device settings of your WiiM Mini, Pro or other WiiM device, and pair the remote — the app walks through the process and the remote connects over Bluetooth. To use voice control, sign in to your Amazon account for the Alexa voice service on the paired WiiM device in the WiiM Home app; after that, press and hold the voice button on the side of the remote, speak, and release. Assign the four preset buttons in the WiiM Home app by choosing a playlist, radio station, podcast or other supported action for each number. Note that the remote controls WiiM devices only — it does not work with TVs, soundbars or other brands’ audio equipment — and it supports Alexa only, not Siri or Google Assistant.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which WiiM devices does this remote work with?
It works with the WiiM Mini, WiiM Pro, WiiM Pro Plus, WiiM Ultra, WiiM Amp, WiiM Amp Pro and WiiM Amp Ultra — in practice, all WiiM streamers and amplifiers except the WiiM Vibelink Amp and the WiiM Sub Pro. Pairing is done in the WiiM Home app, and the remote connects to one WiiM device at a time over Bluetooth.
Does the remote need batteries?
No. It has a built-in rechargeable 475 mAh battery that charges over the supplied USB-C cable. There are no AAA batteries to buy or replace — unlike the first-generation WiiM Voice Remote, which used two AAA batteries.
Can I use it with Siri or Google Assistant?
No. The remote’s voice button works with Amazon Alexa only. You will need to be signed in to your Amazon account for Alexa voice service on the paired WiiM device. Playback, volume and presets work independently of voice control, so the buttons keep working even if you never use Alexa.
