Why Choose Focusrite CLARETT+ 8PRE USB Audio Interface?
The Clarett+ range’s converters are its headline. Independent A-D and D-A stages with greatly improved dynamic range let mixes be heard in full detail, while the preamps’ Air mode adds the ISA console character that has shaped countless records, all without leaving the analogue domain.
Key Features
Eight Clarett+ preamps: eight mic preamps with two Hi-Z JFET instrument inputs and all-analogue Air.
18-in/20-out over USB-C: USB-C connectivity for Mac, Windows and iPadOS with MIDI and word clock.
124 dB converters: independent A-D and D-A converters with up to 124 dB dynamic range.
Ten balanced outputs: ten line outputs plus two headphone outputs for monitors, outboard and artists.
ADAT and S/PDIF expansion: eight channels in and out over ADAT for future growth.
Software bundle: Ableton Live Lite, Pro Tools Intro+ and the Hitmaker Expansion with plug-ins from Antares, Softube and more.
Best Suited For
Established project and professional studios that need eight quality preamps, serious monitoring and room to expand over ADAT. That is the buyer the Focusrite CLARETT+ 8PRE USB Audio Interface is built for.
Setup and Connection Guide
Rack-mount the unit, connect it over USB-C, install Focusrite Control for routing and monitor mixes, connect monitors to the line outputs and headphones to the front panel, and add an ADAT expander such as the Clarett+ OctoPre when more preamps are needed. Once connected, the Focusrite CLARETT+ 8PRE USB Audio Interface is ready for its first session.
