The PreSonus Studio 24c USB-C Audio Interface is a bus-powered 2-in, 2-out interface with two XMAX-L preamps for home recording, podcasting and streaming.
The PreSonus Studio 24c USB-C Audio Interface is a compact, bus-powered 2-in, 2-out USB-C audio interface for home recording, mobile musicians, guitarists, podcasters and live streaming. Two front-panel combo mic/instrument/line inputs with XMAX-L solid-state microphone preamps, two balanced rear line outputs, MIDI I/O and onboard direct-monitoring control give a complete small recording setup that draws its power from the computer, so there is no separate power supply to carry.
Why Choose PreSonus Studio 24c USB-C Audio Interface?
Simplicity is the point of the PreSonus Studio 24c USB-C Audio Interface. With two inputs, a musician can record a vocal and a guitar, a podcaster can record a host and a guest microphone, and a streamer can feed a microphone and an instrument into a broadcast mix, all with professional metering that shows input and main levels at a glance. The XMAX-L preamps are designed for bus-powered interfaces, capturing detail cleanly without audible distortion, and the rugged, compact chassis fits a laptop bag for sessions away from the desk.
Key Features
2-in, 2-out USB-C interface: simultaneous 2 inputs / 2 outputs at up to 24-bit, 192 kHz.
Two XMAX-L preamps: front-panel combo mic/instrument/line inputs with high-headroom instrument preamps.
Bus-powered portability: powered over USB-C, with USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A cables included.
Professional metering: ladder-style LED meters for inputs and main output, plus a +48V phantom power switch.
Direct monitoring: onboard mixer control to blend live input with playback while tracking.
MIDI I/O: connect a keyboard controller or sound module alongside audio recording.
Best Suited For
The PreSonus Studio 24c USB-C Audio Interface suits singer-songwriters, guitarists and bassists recording at home, podcasters and streamers with one or two microphones, mobile musicians, and students building a first home studio. It is ideal for anyone who values a grab-and-go interface over a large channel count. It is not the right choice for recording a full band or drum kit at once, which needs a higher-input Studio-series model.
Setup and Connection Guide
Connect the interface to your computer with a supplied USB-C cable and let the computer power it. Plug a microphone or instrument into a front combo input, connect studio monitors or headphones to the main outputs or headphone output, and enable +48V phantom power only if you are using a condenser microphone that needs it. Set the input gain while watching the LED meters, use the mixer control to balance live input against playback for latency-free monitoring, and select the interface as the audio device in your recording software.
