Bandridge Hdmi Cable 2 Mtr

Bandridge HDMI Cable 2 Mtr

The Bandridge HDMI Cable 2 Mtr is a 2-metre HDMI lead for connecting a source device to a display or audio-video receiver. HDMI carries digital video and audio over a single cable, so one lead replaces separate picture and sound connections between equipment such as a set-top box, media player, laptop, games console or Blu-ray player and a television, monitor or projector. This listing is for the 2-metre length, a common size for equipment stacked in the same TV unit or desk setup.

Key features

• 2-metre cable length for same-rack and desktop connections
• HDMI digital audio and video over a single cable
• Male HDMI connectors at both ends
• Suitable for TVs, monitors, projectors and AV receivers
• Works with set-top boxes, media players, consoles and computers
• Simple plug-and-play connection with no separate audio lead

What this cable does

An HDMI cable passes the digital signal produced by the source to the display without converting it to analogue. The picture and sound quality you get is therefore decided by the source, the display and the settings on both, while the cable’s job is to carry that signal reliably between them. Bandridge does not publish a bandwidth figure for this cable, so no specific resolution or refresh-rate performance is claimed here. If your setup needs a particular HDMI feature, check the specification of your source and display first and choose a cable whose maker states support for that feature.

Choosing the right length

Two metres reaches comfortably between devices in the same cabinet, between a laptop and a desk monitor, or from a console placed beside a television. Measure the actual route the cable will take, including bends and the drop behind furniture, rather than the straight-line distance. Leave a little slack at both ends so the connectors are not pulled sideways, and avoid sharp bends or trapping the cable under heavy furniture, which can damage the conductors over time. For equipment in different parts of a room, a longer cable will be the better choice.

Connection and setup

Push each connector straight into its HDMI port until it seats fully; the plug only fits one way round, so do not force it. Select the matching HDMI input on the television or receiver, then set the source output resolution to one the display supports. If a display has several HDMI sockets, note which one you used, because inputs can differ in the features they enable. Route the cable away from mains power leads where practical and keep it untangled so it can be removed without pulling on other connections.

Everyday uses

This length suits home entertainment stacks, office presentation laptops, classroom displays and desk monitors. It is also a practical spare: HDMI is the standard connection across modern audio-video equipment, so a general-purpose 2-metre lead covers most temporary setups, testing and guest-device connections.

The Bandridge HDMI Cable 2 Mtr is a straightforward 2-metre HDMI interconnect for everyday audio-video hook-ups, chosen by length and connector fit rather than by headline performance claims.
